I'm going North. I need to eventually be up near Wilmington, so anyone that wants to head up that way is welcome.

I'm a maybe. I'm still waiting for my wife to pop. If nothing happens, I will try to be at crystal cove, then possibly drive afterwards.

Since I live in central Orange County, I think after meeting you at the Crystal Cove Auto Thing, I will head south along PCH to the on ramp of the North Santa Ana Freeway. From there I will turn east to Trabuco Canyon. It is an interesting bit of an old Orange County highway. Trabuco Canyon ends just pass a tollway and five or so miles from the Newport Freeway. I drive a silver 550 with my plates on it.

See you are the Crystal Cove Auto Thing.

Good question! When I did it last time, I went north. With the sun to the east, I could enjoy the glow it put out over the ocean. Very surreal. And going north we can go a further distance (before hitting the Freeway).

I'd suggest North...depending on everyone's schedule, etc, I may (solo) take it as far as Terminal Island in San Pedro (Newport-->Huntington-->Seal Beach-->Long Beach-->Terminal Island). Then could jump on the 110 to the 405 back home...

Brain,
Meet at the car show and leave after it. Which way do we go, north or south on PCH?

I'll check my work schedule to see if a noon take-off would be possible. Any sooner?

That sounds like fun! I would have loved to have gone driving this Sunday but I wont be able to.

Would anyone with an open seat mind if I hitched a ride? If not, Ill try to keep up, but next to Bart's Beast, I dont know if I can :-)

Bart ... perhaps Sunday morning for me. I'll know my mid-week, if I need to work. If not, I'm in ... but must be home by around noon.

Is anyone interested in doing a free form drive in Orange County on either Saturday, Sunday, or Monday? I would drive into the hills (Trabuco Canyon) or the beach (Pacific Coast Highway)

Never drive less than 12 cylinders.
