Ron, Julie can not make it, and I am 50-50 on going. The thing that excited me most about the drive is seeing you, your wife and Ric and Val, if you guys were not going I would not be going. I am just too big of a fan of college fotball to miss out. I need to think about it a little more, I will give you a call later on in the afternoon, early evening.

My wife and I will be there in our 512TR and Rick & Val in their red 360.

JL, how about you and Julie?

Sounds like a fun drive.

Hope you guys have a great time. I'll be out of town this weekend, and still need to get the 348CH in running order before taking it out again.

Be safe and take lots of pictures!

The bimmers mostly, and the S2000. I will be sure to break the group into packs to avoid crowding or mixing the fast in with the slow group.

Just remember, this is more of a "cruise" oriented event -- The reason I break up the group is because there are canyons involved which people tend to get a little lead footed.

Only problem is I think we are going to over crowd Dukes Restaurant -- at the meet I will see how many people we have and see what everyone's suggestion is.

If everyone is gonna be in the back of the pack, who is gonna be in front?

I'll be in the back of the pack, so I won't have to worry much about cars kicking up gravel or dirt :-)

There were plenty of small stones on Mulholland, Encinal, and Piuma this weekend. As there are all the time. As an individual car this isn't a problem, but once you are a line of cars...

Don't worry about the stone chips, just stay in the back of the pack and at best you'll get bug chips. :-)

The canyons we are going on is frequently visited by other cars so the road is fairly clean.

I don't know about the drive part (last time I did one of these my GT2 came home with a lot of stone chips) but I'll try to make the morning meeting in the 575.

Ron (Easy Rider) says he will probably go if his wife doesn't keep him locked up. :-)

I want to go, but will be in San Diego that weekend looking at places and visiting Beth, hopefully, with her new 348tb and possibly a drive centered around that. :-(

Anyone else coming? We have ~ 20+ cars right now; mostly BMW's.

The group is getting large enough for us to split up the group and cover several canyons, Tuna and Piuma.

Bob, yeah, it's scheduled to be delivered Sunday or Monday unless something happens with the guy who is bringing it. I bought it from Steve Harris Imports in SLC. You can see it on their web site www.ferrarisales.com or here http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/21/306082.html?1061905284 . I can't wait to get it.

I left you a voice message on your machine. Did you get it? I want to talk to you.

I will probably be there (depending on my wife's plans for me on a Saturday morning). That will be the first time I can join a drive with the new 512TR.

Sorry to keep you guys in the dark.

As Ron has mentioned, most of the group will consists of BMW, a few P Cars and other imports as well.

This is a pretty much "open to all" event so no prejudice towards any cars.

And before you say it... I did not invite the Civics and the Accords :-)

GGreen, I presume it is for F cars, but if you look carefully, it says nothing about F cars. It could be a drive of P cars or M cars (notice his handle) or anything else.

If there were another big group of F car owners getting together for drives I bet we would have heard about it before now.

Dukar please give more info as to the cars and the group organizing it.

Thanks and welcome to the board.

Dukar - welcome to Ferrari Chat... I see this is your first post... do you mind giving us all a little background about this drive?... who is going perhaps and/or what cars are expected? perhaps a little bit about yourself?

I think it's hard for people to just show up when they don't know exactly who is organizing the drive.

Okay I have determine the meet spot. It will be a popular coffee house with plenty of parking spaces. Here is the address.

Coffee Bean
19732 Ventura Blvd.
Woodland Hills, CA 91364

The time of the meet will be 9:00am sharp. We will be departing at around 10:00am.

The route we are taking will be Topanga Canyon > Mulholland > Stunt Rd > Scherne > Piuma > PCH.

Piuma will dump us directly on the PCH. From there we will have lunch at Dukes (Popular restaurant with good food)

After lunch we will cruise down the PCH to Encinal Canyon and back up to Mulholland; the final stop will be at Starbucks on Topanga Canyon and Ventura Blvd.

We cruise will end ~ 1-2pm so if you have something to do in the afternoon, you still can :-)
