DL - still in Bay Area (without 550 and having withdrawals) Will down in West LA this week and likely be driving stunt road wed or thursday. Again thanks for the tip. If you are up for following in your car (or vice versa more likely) - let me know. I will not be going that fast as I am still learning how to drive it.

DES,
Speed Lingerie is a color keyed bra. http://www.speedlingerie.com
They fit very nicely. Tape is the 3m tape put on the front to prevent stone chips.

Mike,
I put tape on my 355. I did not like the look of it and took it off. I got a Speed lingerie on the 550 and it was great for highway travel. You may notice that the car runs a little hotter with the lingerie. I cut out the mesh and solved the problem.

What is 'tape' (in the context in which it's used here) and speed lingerie...?

DL - thanks for your continued advice. Luckily for now my dash and everything else is great. Just knocked on wood.

The first four things I did were to 1) upgraded standard exhaust to a fuchs 2) put a "shoe" on the front air dam. 3) ordered some floor mats 4) ordered the V1 radar

3 & 4 come in on Wed.

the only other things I am considering are either tape or speed lingerie for long / fast drives between LA & SF.

and a stereo upgrade - nothing extreme - just like my music and need a bit better sound.

anyone:
any thoughts on steroe upgrade in SoCal? what about tape vs speed lingerie?

Mike, are these air dam "shoes" you speak of the same kind of idea as DL's Premier-installed urethane scrape pads (for the black lower lip on the bumper)? Are they the same thing, as in done by Premier, or did you get yours elsewhere?

Appreciate the help.

Yup. South Bay. I guess I'll give 'em a call and see what they say. Could definately use some sort of protection though. Thanks for the quick response.

Eric,
I believe it is proprietary to Premier. They are a urethane based pad that he mounts under the front valence at either side. Dave will most likely sand and touch up chips out of the bottom (black) portion while he is at it. Are you in LA?

I've heard good things about Fernando.

DL, tell me about these scrape protectors. Though I remember someone mentioning them once (maybe you), I don't think much was said about them. They sound like just what the doctor ordered for this car. Maybe some pics. Do you know if I can find these somewhere else, or is it something Premier does special? Thanks.

Mike / Bart,
Go down to Premier (Washington and Motor). Get to know Dave. He is just the nicest guy and he can be a great help in finding parts. His body shop is the best in town. He does exhaust as well. Have him install the scrape pads under the front valence... if you dont have them already. It will save your airdam. He also has a fantastic upholstery connection (Fernando). Let me know how it goes. Tell him Dave sent you.

I was filling up my car when I realize the inside of my windshield was dirty. I use the squeegee to wipe the inside. Crap. The rear view mirror fell off. Nuts. Here is another big buck problem.

Guess what? The rear view mirror just twists on. So simple yet when it happen I did not realize it.
