Ok, it just keeps getting worse.

Lambo being worked on by Lambo BH
Hummer has a coolant leak, back to Hummer Dealer
MBZ needs 4 new tires.
Harley being serviced
West Coat Choper needs new starter motor
TRex clutch is slipping, waiting for parts

And... I have had to put gas in all of them this week.... It has been very expensive.

I am thinking of selling them all and buying a Taurus and a Bicycle..

On the bright side I am still left with the Porsche and Ferrari to do carpool with, you should see the kids faces when I pull up :-)

Definately not a MBZ. it could have been a Honda, Toyota, Nissan, or one of many others, It was not German, Itallian,English, or American. All the others look the same to me :-)

Car in front looks like a Mercedes S-class...

Adam, I'm glad things are OK and it was a glitch and a relatively inexpensive day :-)

Jordan,

I was sitting there thinking that if my F1 transmission was trashed is would probably cost more than both of those cars are worth to get it fixed. It was kinda funny though, young hispanic guy hit two white seniors, they were very upset any yelling at him pretty loud, I was just keeping my eyes open to make sure that I didn't get hit by any stray bullets, after all, this is LA :-)

911fan, I assume F1 problems would be covered under warranty unless they could show abuse.

Adam,

Glad they were able to get you back on the road so quickly.

Are 360 F1 problems routinely fixed under warranty or does FNA consider them "normal wear and tear"?

Nice pic, btw. It's stereotypically LA - the gym, the tanning salon, the palm trees, the Ferrari, the flatb... :-)

I didn't even get a flashing "N" or anything when it happened. Mine was a mechanical problem but it sounds like yours was an electronic one. In the 2+ years I've had mine, the F1 electronics was never a problem. The faulty actuator was not common according to my dealer but I've heard of various electronic issues.

Willis,

I got an error beep when I tried to start and the "N" was flashing. It would not even turn over. I felt very helpless, there was no point even looking at the engine as I would not even know where to find the tranny on the F1.

I didn't. after the tow truck driver spent almost an hour on the phone with Ferrari roadside assistance, I finally spoke with someone at auto gallery who talked me through what to do to reset it by first re-setting the alarm, and then a combination of paddles, key, brake and reverse. It took a bout 3 minutes once I got on the phone with him.

He said it is quite common, I have not heard of this problem before.

Adam,

Mine locked up recently but it happened just past the 20K mile point. The culprit was a faulty F1 actuator, the mechanism on the side of the gearbox. Please keep us posted on the facts of the problem and the fix.
