Byron,

I answered the phone. My wife was still asleep. What I was trying to do was make a joke. Oh, well.

Just because you did not drive a Ferrari to this event meant nothing. Many came. Some drove a decent car. Some drove other things. No one care what you drove if anything. The Enzo driver had others drive the other ones.

You must make it next year, if possible. Only 40 Ferraris were permitted to park on the host property.

I hope your machine is now a happy Ferrari. Mechanics and parts are not inexpensive, are they not?

Never drive less than 12 cylinders!

Bart,
First of all, please apologize to your wife for me... I did not mean to phone you so early! :-) By the pictures, it looks like you had an AMAZING time. BOY AM I A GOOD FRIEND!! ... only kidding. My car is in the shop and wasn't finished as of friday - I just would've felt slightly out of place if I didn't have my Italian machine to park in the ranks of you! I noticed that you mentioned a few F50's and F40's...wow. I really did miss out!

Bill, It was too bad I couldn't make it. Hopefully we'll catch up again soon.

The both of you need to come out for our next drive....OCTOBER 12th

*sigh*... :-)

By the way ... this car was a replacement for the one that was crashed at Monza (it was to have been delivered to this owner) He also owned the F40 and F50 ... not a bad collection!!!

Bryon was planning to drive to Rancho Santa Fe to watch the Indy GP today. He was to drive his car with a friend but the car decided not to move. Why it protested the drive is anyones guess.

Early this morning Byron gets on the chat room looking for a ride. Me, being the nice guy I am offer him a ride. He phones me at 8:00 a.m. this morning waking my wife. (That is a good thing) Anyway, he decides to pass as I am only able to carry one passenger. His friend could not go. Byron is a great friend. What did he miss?

A black Enzo was there, which was only delivered yesterday. It was very nice and it was the first time I ever heard one. The owner did wind it up. Very sweet sound. Of course there were a few F-50s, F-40s, and many great Ferraris from the 50s and 60s along with numerous newer cars.

The food was great and the race was the best of the year.

Gee, Byron, you are a wonderful friend to miss all of this for your friend.
