Christian - Also make sure that the recall work has been done on the seatbelts. Without the generous Factory recall, the cost to replace the seatbelts will set you back $2700-$3400.

Christian,
Welcome to FChat.

Which 91 TR are you looking at? Is it a private party or at a dealer? I think with the mileage and year combination you are looking at, you can find one in that price range. Just make sure that the previous owner has service records. A properly done 30k may run upwards of $5-8k on a TR, so it's important that this has been done.

A couple of good places to do PPI's would be:
FX Performance (W.LA), ask for Lucio or Costantino
Blackhorse Motors (BH), ask for Carl S
Auto Gallery (WH), ask for Eric S
Exotic Performance (MDR), ask for Robert J

Hope this helps, and good luck on your search!
Btw, if you need someone to look at the car with you, there are lots of guys in the LA area with plenty of experience with TR's and FCars in general that can lend a hand.

Hello folks. My name is Christian Baker and I have decided to take the plunge and sell my 95 Esprit and now am in the market for my first F-Car. Does anyone have any info on a 91 TR White black interior and 12k miles? It is for sale locally and I know that there is a good chance somebody might have some history. If it doesn't work out I want a 88.5 or newer white with tan/magnolia or black interior and less than 20,000 miles. 50 to 60k is the budget. Also, what should a prebuy cost with a compression check? Reccomendations in the LA area would be great! Hope to see you all on the road soon.
