I didn't read anything on that site at all. I saw the maps and saw $$$ jackpot! I saw the website literally 2 days ago in someone's signature block on NSXPrime.

If its crap, I'm sorry. But, it has maps for a lot of So Cal areas and that means we can a) scout and b) organize drives to keep things interesting :-)

Billy Bob,
With as many tires we change on the race cars, I have been very tempted to get a tire machine and balancer but have been too lazy to look for a couple good used machines. We use Northridge Tire when it comes to mounting race and street tires. I am a Tire Rack distributor so I don't buy tires from them. We have never once had a problem with Northridge Tire.

Hey Anthony,

You know a good guy who won't rim up your newly painted rims? I'm 90% going to buy a tire machine just to keep the tire monkeys away. What do you giys to? Do you have a machine and a balancer? I got two sets of 4 to do Thursday.

wow, dom... good catch! I didn't get a chance to read all of the site carefully... just saw the categories, etc... maybe things aren't just the way they seem on the cover sometimes.

but you know how it is... like anything else on the internet, take it with a grain of salt. All is subject to personal interpretation.

Hmmm,

I browsed that mulholland raceway site, and thought that some of the info seemed fishy. Decided to try a search on corner-carvers.com (really good tech), and came up with the following link. So beware what you read on the mullholand raceway site, since it appears that there is lots of misinformation.

Also, IMHO, street racing is just plain dumb. These people are risking not only their lives, but the lives of others.

Sunny,
What a neat site link you provided - man, EVERYONE should commit the information on that site to memory! Lots of good tips and tricks about public road driving. :-)

Rather then duplicate each map, here are several that will get you exploring where you need to be.

Some in the local area that I do all the time -

- Stunt Road
- Deer Creek Road
- Latigo Canyon
- Decker Canyon
- Old Ridge Route
- San Fransiscido Canyon (Valencia)
- Misc roads north of Ojai, will find charts

More out of the way:

- Angeles Crest
- Ortega Highway 74 to the 15 to the 79 to the 76 to Mt Palomar Observatory, back down to 76 to Oceanside/Carlsbad
- The Onion Road, a top speed road, Ventura county I think, which hasn't passed the street racing/impound law.. yet)
- Stagecoach road and north of it, around Zaca Mesa winery and out towards Bakersfield

For maps, a site already has many including Turnbull posted. If you want a running partner, at least for the next week or two, give me a call. I prefer early evening and on. Weekends, early morning. More isolated roads anytime. Most people don't appreciate drifting even while its in my OWN lane, so I tend to avoid civilians.

If no one knows, Anthony has been around Italian cars for quite a while. I know he has lots of track time and his dad owns an Italian Car repair facility. His whole family is a bunch of car nuts, and great guys. Welcome Anthony.

Anthony, I'd be happy to send you some maps of some favorite local roads, some you might already know. Give me a coupe of days to put them together.

Jordan and Dom,
As of Wednesday, the Ferrari will be on jackstands in the garage. I am sending the rims out to be re-done because they are slightly discolored. So, I won't be making the track day or the Crystal Cove drive. That's why I am looking so far ahead into November. I'd love to put a drive together but I would not know where to go first! All my fun cars have been track cars and I really don't know much about these drives everyone talks about Monday mornings.

There is a track event at the streets of willow on friday (Oct 24). I know you do lots of AROSC events, so you may be interested in this.

Hey Anthony, Im sure the guys here have something in the works in November. If not, well...we should put something together. If your not busy on Saturday October 25th, come down to Orange County and join us for the Crystal Cove event. It would be an early morning if your comming down from LA, but well worth it --I assure you!

There is a thread with more information a few posts down.

Any Ferrari drives coming up in November around the Los Angeles area? I can't wait for a drive with other Ferrari's now that I have one! I'll bring the GTB, my friend would bring his 330 2+2, and his dad would bring his GTB as well.
