Jerry and Jordan- If you set up a Crystal Cove GTG in the next few weeks, my wife and I will definitely attend. Early next year I will have my street rod shipped down from Canada and this would be a perfect event to blend in with the exotics and share some excitement about rare cars!. Plus I'd love to see how my little rod holds up to Jerry's 328 and Ron's new 308 (not serious guys but come to think of it it might make and interesting article for Jun's brothers' magazine?)
Jun-Thanks for being so approachable and for sharing your excitements about your Modena.
Kevin & Byron -Thank you for the details about your cars and what to look for in the F355 Berlinetta. We are now going to put ourselves in the market for one. After eyeing Jerry's 328, I have taken your advice about possibly starting there. I can't tell you about how excited I am about those possibilties!

Thanks from Tony and I to you all for having us along and for setting it up!
Byron's 348 sounded sooo good from behind as we went up PCH that I decided to rip off my cats & TUBI when I got home!!
We'll have to do it again.
THANK YOU ALL!

Hey everyone. Jun, your daughter took some awesome pics. Loved the car! If your 360 is the little brother to the 550, I wonder what our 308 would be? :-)

Jerry, can't wait to see those new pedals! How do they feel? Can't wait to meet up again.

Throttleman, I agree with Byron, the 355 is an awesome car. Thanks again for fixing my dads intenna, your sure know alot.

Byron, can't wait to see those pictures. Loved your car ALOT, nice strong engine. Can't wait to see you again in the future.

Bart, loved your 550 even though the detailers shrunk your dash:-(. Your a cool guy and can't wait to meet up again later.

Hey Jordan thanks again for everything. Maybe you'll have your ferrari soon:-)

If I missed anyone, sorry too many names to remember. Seems that happens to everyone:-). I would also like to know if CC happens every week. Is it the same meeting spot? Hope to see you all soon!!

Jerry, sorry about not being able to chat much this last Saturday! I would love to get a better look at your car next time as well :-)

Crystal Cove is every Saturday from 6-9am...We probably wont have an event to caravan down there and have breakfast every saturday, but there are always a few regulars to Crystal Cove from the website including myself. I try and go every weekend but occasionally need the extra time to sleep in after a long week :-)

If you all liked the caravan/breakfast, I figure maybe every 3 or 4 weeks we can get a small group together and do the same thing...possibly with a real drive (Ortega?), or other activities afterwards instead of breakfast.

Ive got another idea for a larger local event possibly in a few months that I just have to get the boss' ok from :-) It will be a blast though!

Jerry,
You can certainly count on driving events to be held locally on a monthly basis - we are also trying to add into the mix a number of charity events as well as overnighters.

2004 will be a blast with FDC!! :-)

Hello Everyone, sorry for the late post, had a number of family things that kept me from the computer until this morning.

I will start by thanking Jordan for putting together the caravan, my daughter and I had a GREAT time. It was a lot of fun trying not to get stuck behind the trash truck on the canyon road, then trying to catch your aunt on PCH (She can drive!)

Jerry - GREAT Car, the color is even better in person. Congrats, again.

Bart - My daughter said you were one of the nicest people there and took the time to talk with her about your car, thanks for being so nice to a 15 year old! She now wants a silver 550 as her first car! (She also now calls our 360 the little brother to the 550!)

Ron and David- Great car!!! hope to see you at more events or CC.

Jay - Great meeting you and your wife. (Did you buy anything at Ferrari of O.C.?)

Byron - It was great to see your car in person after seeing it go through its engine out online. Its a great car.

Everyone else (sorry if I forgot some names, we met so many people)-THANKS for a great time.

My daughter took all of the pics. Hope everyone enjoys them!

Jay - If you are up for a Crystal Cove event again, you can meet me at my house (mile up from Coffee Bean) and I can drive us up there. Too bad I don't have a four seater F-Car for the wives. :-( Love the mustang - Looks great! Email me if you're interested.

David - Great pics!

Jun - Why are all those guys looking at the 360, when they have that beautiful blue 328 right behind them? lol

I can't believe how much fun my wife and I had today. It was wonderful to meet you all. To make a good day even better, after the event we went to Ferrari of OC and my wife fell in love with a black F355. This has likely affected our purchase date! So am looking forward to ownership (some day).

Jerry- Name the time and date and I am there!
Don- My pleasure, ash just does not belong on these works of art.

To make a great day even better, when I got home ther was a video of the repainting of my 1926 Model T street rod from my brother in Canada in the mail. It was just finished last week. I will try to post pictures elsewhere for those interested.

Here is a picture of my "first wife" (joke-1964.5 Mustang, Candy Brandywine). Upload

Count us in on the next GTG. Yours, Jason (Jay aka. Throttleman) and Rebecca.

I found the info on posting pics here :

http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/cgi-bin/discus/discus.cgi?pg=formatting#images

Look under :

Images, Attachments, and Clipart

You have to first shrink your photo to no bigger than 640X640.

You can even put a picture of your dad's ride in your profile. :-)

Ron - Congrats on the month old 308 - I loved it!

Also much thanks to throttleguy for helping with the antenna (after a little WD-40, it works great!). I owe you a ride! I also owe Jordan a ride for putting this together - Just let me know! :-)

Jordan - Love the pic of the 512's from the back with their hoods open.

Jun - Great 360, congrats!

I want to thank everyone that braved the weather and early hours to come today. Hopefully you all had a great time! I was worried when I was on the way to the meeting point in Irvine and saw two of the Ferraris going the wrong way in the thick fog :-) They found their way back though! A great mix of cars showed up in Irvine including 308s, 328s, 348s, 360s, 550, and a few porsches. At Crystal Cove we were greeted by even more Ferraris including 3 512 Boxers, a few classics such as a 250 Lusso and a 330 GTC, and some more 550s and 575s. From Crystal Cove, a group of us jetted over to the Side Street Cafe on Newport Blvd. and enjoyed a nice breakfast. Hearing rumors that Ferrari of Orange County had a few Maserati Quattroportes in their shop, Byron, Sunny, Kevin, Jay and his wife, and I headed over to check it out. They werent there :-( It was still fun though!

Thanks again to everyone who came, and especially to Byron, Bart, and Sunny for giving me rides! Unfortunately, Sunnys wife couldnt make it today :-) Oh you knew that was coming...

BTW Byron, Andrew is still in shock from his ride. I cant thank you enough for being gracious enough to take him for a spin!

Enjoy the pictures! Sorry for the quality of the first few...The weather was atrocious :-)
