Hi Craig,

Didnt know you are from London. I am organising the first european FChat track meeting june 2003 at the Nürburgring. We have got about 13 Ferraris and around 15 people together. A lot are coming from England actually (Manu, Eli, Amar and all the others). It wil be a nice weekend with lots of things to do here in Germany. The programm I thought of can be found at:
http://server.ferrarichat.com/~ferrari/ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/21/157894.html
It wont be expensive since lap fee for the Nordschleife is just 11 Euro per lap. Rest is hotel, food and travel expenses.
Would be great if you think about joining us with your 348 GTS.
If you got questions about it or you are interested just mail or ask via this thread!

I haven't got a clue what goes on at the internet Ferrari owners clubs, but if there's a forum or something like that maybe the European owners could mention ferrichat.com in there conversations.
And invite the Ferrari owners who they know personally.

Maybe adding www.ferrarichat.com into some internet search machines?

You need to ask yourself, were would you go if you were a Ferrari owner, connected to the internet but didn't know about ferrarichat.com. I think you're the one that knows better then me. (I'm not an owner :-() What did you do 2 years ago on the internet ?

Hope it steers the mind a bit.

I would also like to increase the number of European users. By advertising in Forza and Cavallino I've brought in many American users along with a few international subscribers. However, I would appreciate ideas how to reach even more Euro users.

Thanks,
rob

Unfortunately I have the feeling that this website is still unknown to many european Ferraristi. How could we promote this? This fantastic database should be in every Ferrari-owners (or lovers) handbook.

Maybe we should open a new european Ferrari meeting thread within this topic. Then it will be easier to find for new users.

Hallo Bart,

Bart

Ow and to quote Fredrick Thomas from another tread :
"Just a little warning about touchy subjects around here.
Car wax, supras and floor mats will get people going. Other then that I think you should be fine."

Ton, welcome to this great site.

Over here you can ask anything about the 328, just make a new topic, wait a few hours and the anwsers are probably already coming in :-)

The people over here amazed me with all the knowledge being spread trough this Fchat.

You can use the Search function on the bottom of all the pages to search for previous treads about the 328. You'll be surprised what you can find out about the 328.

There are some europeans over here but it's marginal. Some youngsters, like me, who are just ferrari enthusiast and some guys with knowledge beyond imagination. Ok now i might exaggerate a bit :-)

Enjoy the site

Hello everyone,

I am happy to have found a European Ferrari questionnaire. I am on the brink of buying my first Ferrari (328 GTS). It is though hard to find a clean one. I am looking forward to the chat sessions.

Yup, it's Inchcape. Indeed they are not supposed to import LHD as the UK importer, which is why all the documentation from the factory lists Francorchamps as the dealer and they ordered the car from their quota (it is Belgian-spec) and did the invoicing. But Maranello dealt with all the final payment arrangements. Confusing!

If you want more info Manu, just email me offline.

Hi Amar - I see - it's Inchcape that owns them both isn't....? I'm still a little surprised that they could do that actually (sell you a new LHD Ferrari) as when I approached them and asked them about LHD sales they flatly refused saying they could not as the UK importer.

Manu,

Maranello Sales' parent company owns Garage Francorchamps, so officially I dealt with MS who sourced it through GF. Though in 2000 their coordination on LHD sales was not yet flawless, the help of people in both dealerships made it work out fine. They even managed to arrange for me to pick up the 360 at the factory.

Completely missed this thread actually - nice one Amar... BTW mate, I didn't think any UK Ferrari dealer could do LHD sales... did you buy from Maranellos or Garage Francorchamps

Hi to all the fellow Europeans. Bart - the 360 is less of a car and more of a weapon - the 996 does not compare!
Also Jens - I have replied to your email about Tubi!!

Our own little section :-)

It's a good opportunity to let all the other european members know about the Fchat meeting in June.

I hope it will be crowded next june.
I'm really, really looking forward to it.

btw, Is anyone coming to the autoRAI Amsterdam on febuary '03 to watch the Enzo ?? It's there from 7 febuary until 16 febuary.

I'm sure that i'm going there, together with Roel I guess (we haven't really talked it over but we know we're going)

Hello Bart,

Nice to see another new member, welcome. And good luck in your quest for the 360 Modena, I can say completely objectively it's a fantastic car! You probably know Garage Francorchamps, the F dealer outside Brussels, yourself but in case you want an introduction I know the sales director there well, so feel free to let me know.

Regards,
Amar

Hi Amar,

Really looking forward to get to know some european Ferrarichat user next june at our little track meeting! I will keep all of you updated about times and schedules. To get to know how the programm looks just look up for the "European Ferrari owners" thread with the search option. There you can find the first provisional attendants list and the planned programm. We will surely have a good time then so hopefully some more FChat members from Europe (with or without a Ferrari!)are going to join us...

Just to get this new Europe community started and hopefully it's the start of many interesting and fun times for Ferrari lovers with European connections. Looking forward to meeting everybody at Nurburgring in June if not before...

Ciao,
Amar
