Hey Ton, I don't know anything about the FCN, but when I was at Zandvoort last week I noticed that all the 3*8 owners were very nice and relaxed, while the owners of the newer Ferrari's (360's, 550) were almost all dressed "classy", although still they were nice guys. Maybe because this was a more "private" FCN meet, but I'm not to sure about that. Maybe Jwa can tell you a bit more about being a FCN member. |

Hi Ton, I'm a member of the Ferrari Club Belgio, for over 10 years and i can confirm what Helmut tells, it's nice. Every meeting is familiar, of course some people think they are chique, but you have that in a simple caffee too. The 'Tour de Belgique' is a highly recommended meeting...Helmut will confirm. Hi Helmuth, Thank you for your answer to my question. I already contacted George Vaxelaire and he has sent me some papers and the name of a member who will introduce me into the club. I hear more good stories about the Belgian club every day. I will definitely join them. I will also have a look at the FOC UK. How do you know all this? Do you own a Ferrari too? Or is it strictly business. Will you join us at the Ferrarichatmeeting at the Nurnburgring in June? Ton |

Uwe Meissner is proud to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Modena Motorsport, based in Langenfeld, Germany. He created an event 10 years ago to welcome his customers, friends and of course Jacky Ickx with whom he enjoys a close friendship. Over the years Uwes annual event has become more and more respected by Ferrari enthusiasts from Germany, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Costa Rica, the UK and other countries. The wide range of fine Ferrari automobiles includes superb classics and modern Ferrari street and competition models, also a huge number of Ferrari Formula One cars. The good relationship with Ferrari S.p.A. enables him to welcome 4-5 official F-1 mechanics who give technical support. Needless to say the international MEDIA dispatches their TV crews and motoring writers/photographers to cover this unusual event. The 2002 version at Spa became even more attractive: a Concours d Elegance was held and a huge number of really outstanding Ferraris were judged by expert jury members. A list of all Ferraris by s/n and additional details can be send on request. Uwe Meissner would be delighted to welcome Ferraristi from all over the world to join the 10th version of the Modena Motorsport Ferrari Track Days in 2003. Location: the famous F-1 racetrack Nürburgring, nicknamed the Green Hell The date: Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 of July Eligible cars: Classic Road and Competition Ferraris (1948 1973): free of charge !! Hi Ton and all If you have to choose between the Club Ferrari Belgio and the Ferrari Club Netherlands, then the Belgian club is definitively the much better choice. I know that there are some worse fights between classic and modern Ferrari owners in The Netherlands and also some bad words between members themselves. The Club Ferrari Belgio is a club which has a very long tradition based on the history of Garage Francorchamps and the fabulous personality of Jacques Swaters. There is a wide range of events (rallies, track days...) and a nice annual magazine for members. Please do not hesitate to contact Georges Vaxelaire, the club secretary who is helpfull and friendly. email: [email protected] phone: 0032-(0)2.725.67.60 Nevertheless don't miss to become also a member of the FOC UK - you will enjoy your membership!! Contact via their website or send an email to the club secretary Peter and Suzanne Everingham [email protected] [email protected] Please give my name as reference: Helmut Schnug (Germany) [email protected] |

Hello Ton I can highly recommend the FOC UK. This is the most best Ferrari club in Europe. The annual fee is low, there are six black/white magazines and four full coloured ones. The wide range of club activities is enormous, they have their own hillclimb and race championsships as well as a really outstanding "National Meet and Concours" with about 480 classic and modern Ferraris. Please note the following link of the superb FOC website which gives you actual and useful infos about Ferrari events all over the world: http://www.ferrariownersclub.co.uk/happenings/ Don't hesitate to contact me if you need some help and further infos. classicsincamera (Helmut Schnug) |

Ton, I'm also interested to know. When you've got the F car i'll invite you to play a round of Golf at my club, and we'll show them what chique is. Bart

Hello, Since I am going to buy my first Ferrari shortly I was wondering if it is usefull to gain a membership of one of the official Ferrariclubs. I am considering a membership of the Ferrari Club Nederland or the Ferrari Club Belgio. What are the big advantages? What can I expect? Is there a nice atmosphere or is it more like my Golfclub (who consider themselves chique)? Ton |
