Peter, If you give me the exact part number for your 512TR radiator I could call my official dealer here in Germany or Ferrari Germany directly. Its now night here in Germany so if you could manage to give this info in the next 10 to 12 hours I could call them tomorrow (=Friday), ask them how much the part costs and if they would ship it to Hong Kong. Just a thought! Con saluti cordialissimi, Jens Haller P.S. I know you are in serious time problems but I agree with Mark: Check for repairs before you buy a 1200$ part! Official dealers sadly often propose to exchange instead of doing a much cheaper repair ("Ahh,nobody is doing this with such a car!".Believe me, I know this talk) |

Peter i'm sure a repair will be a quicker and more cost effective solution? |

Amar, just contacted Jeff. They are bound by contract not to supply to Hong Kong directly. So, I guess I have to buy from the local dealer. Besides, I don't have much time. |

Peter, Try Ferrari UK/Maranello Concessionaires outside London (+44 1784 436 222); they handle worldwide parts sales for older models. They've become a sponsor of this site (don't recall if they give discounts for FC members) and Jeff Howe of Ferrari UK posts regularly in the FC General section. Good luck! Amar |

This is just a repost from the general section. Took my 512TR to the mechanic yesterday for pre-track checkup. Everything is fine, except that the right-hand radiator leaks at high pressure. The mechanic says the radiator will hold under normal street driving, but the stress of track driving may break it. So, I need to find a radiator REALLY fast, because I am going in 2 weeks. The local dealer in Hong Kong wants US$1200 for it, but they don't have any in stock. I am quite sure shops abroad will be cheaper, but I need a reliable one who carries such a part. Can anybody recommend a Euro shop with extensive parts for a 512TR? Mine is a 1994 RHD Euro model. Thanks! |
