Uuummm... Well, I think I'll say no more!!

Amar if you've visited the clubs off of Wenceslas Square and the Red Light District of Holesovice, I'm sure you'll be able to vouch for the prices! I've just heard about these places!

That's too funny, Mark, you must have just been to the old square?!

Anyway, shouldn't you all be out enjoying the weekend and maybe firing up the red ones?? It's starting to get sunny here in London and we're feeling ashamed of our morning laziness, so time to drive out into the countryside methinks. Enjoy your weekend.....

Mark,

The fact that you know this "exchange rate" so good should make your wife nervous or suspicious at least, I guess...
:-) :-) :-)

Jens,

we are all sad. HE (at least his father)was the one who first brought Ferrari to Germany!!! Its a part of history. 1 Importeur for Ferrari. The one and only 250GTO, silver was delivered in the `60th by Becker - amazing.

Wolfgang

Jens, its so funny to type with you online. But I`m sorry, I must leave now to visit my father. He is since 1 week in the hospital and it looks bad.
I will be back online later in the afternoon/evening

Ah,

Very interesting!
Sad that now there is nothing left of the Becker dealer anymore :-(
When I was still a student I often drove to Düsseldorf to have a close look at their used Ferraris in the first floor.
Was always way of cool to look at these exotics so close without any snobish salesman disturbing you. Liked that very much...
Times they are changing, I guess...

Jens,

thats funny to jump between 2 threads.

The Ferrari Owners Club does not excist any longer! I have heared Auto Becker is closed. All members went to the Ferari Club Germany for free, without any "Aufnahmegebühr"

Wolfgang,

Do you know whether the Ferrari Owners Club founded by Becker still exists?
What are the basical differences between the two clubs?

Jens,

your impression about the FCD is not wrong but also not right. There are over 400 members with different passions, cars, money a.s.o. I do not aggree with every member - I have the opportunity to make my choice with whom I want to share my short free time & drive. There are collectors and there are real drivers with love & passion.
I will tell you more about the +/- tomorrow.

Ton,

For 750 Euros the women who are included should at least look very cute :-)
If I take a look at photos of FCD dinner events I can only see older women with slightly grey hair, though!
Ouuuchhhhhhhhhhh...........

Con saluti cordialissimi,
Jens Haller

P.S. I dont want it sounding too negative now but this event and the whole organisation (prices, owners only...bla, bla) confirms my first impression of Ferrari Club Deutschland :-(

Hi Ton,

hopefully we can tell you more abaout the meeting tomorrow.
We will have dinner today with the Rhein-Neckar-Main section and will ask & discuss
the prices. All members got this week an invitation map with details and prices.
What Uwe is talking about (and this is also my opinion): Every member must pay
750,- Euros + 750,- Euros extra for your wife just for the party. Price includes 1 dinner
& 1 brunchthats it!!!
Hotel rates are extra for 200,-Euros/per night.
Driving on the race track and Vogesen round trip in a group
are extra 220,- Euro + 180,- co-pilot.
So if you want to join the meeting as a member you must be ready to pay for 3 days (incl. your wife) 2.600,- Euros + ????
But if you just join the meeting as a F.-Driver-no FCD member (everybody is very welcome)
you pay nothing for the event (of course not Hotel & Race Track & dinner).
Otherwise this will be the biggest Ferrari meeting this year in Germanydon`t miss it.
Over 600 Ferraris will attend the meeting and most of them will drive on Friday in a huge
group thru the Schwarzwald this is also for free. On Saturday will be a Formula 1 demonstration in the City of Banden-Baden yeah, they are going to drive realy with F 1 cars
thru the cityalso free no entrance to pay.
So what Uwe is talking about; he just wanted to visit the event as a free guest.
I totally aggree with him till now but lets have a closer look this evening on our FCD meeting. Maybe there is a hidden gift for us included..taillight of an EnzoFerrari?

Hi Ferraristi,

the FCD (Ferrari Club Deutschland) will start its 25th anniversary from the 07/09/2003 to the 07/13/2003 in Baden Baden.

The board expects more than 500 owners for that event. I will be there, too because I'm a member of the FCD.

But I wil not be there as a member but as a ferrarista (because the event is to much expensive for the return service: 750,00 without hotel rates :-( )

Is anybody interested to join us on Saturday for that event?

Red greetings
Uwe Ricken
