I thought about giving my FChat friends some late Easter present...here it is: 2 short video clips taped on EASTER DRIVE 2003. Get'em, especially the second one with the tunnel.

the videos can be found at http://www.ferrari355.de/downloads/easter-drive/ (WMV Format)

One notice! Please DO NOT link directly from any other page to the videos. Otherwise I have to install the anti leech as usual...

Hi Sebastian,

hey that's really wonderful pics. I'm very sad not have joined your wonderful trip - maybe next time ;-)

@Ton

Hallo Ton

my mirror will be repaird tomorrow morning at 10:00 am. I will drive to our all favorite garage (Heiko, Wolfgang and many others know him very well) ;-)

The repair will take a few hours and they told me that I can wait for the reparations.

Yeah - that will be a nice trip for me tomorrow :-)

Best regards to all

Sure will Ton!! I will check the oil level again in two weeks time (I have a conference this week and a week in Spain thereafter) and also check if there's been any more leakage. Hey, after today's cleaning she is looking SUPERB!! My God, it's a beautiful car!!

I would let someone take a look at the car sooner. Especially if you plan to drive it.

Mark,

Most probably it is a problem with the sparkplugs or the wiring. I will also have the wiring for the sparkplugs renewed before the summer. The oil under your car is a different thing. I hope that it is nothing bad. When will the car be serviced?

Oh...another comment about yesterday.

I think the Schumacher brothers did an amazing job under difficult conditions. In the light of the circumstances, I think it will go down as one of Michael's greatest victories...he really had to dig deep for that one.

I don't know if I could have done it (i.e. gone to work as usual).

Thanks Ton,

And then came the BIG clean today...from 12h00 till 19h30! My hands are raw!

We experienced some minor problems yesterday:

Passenger side window winder stopped working! A few weeks ago I fitted a new passenger window switch in the drivers doorand still the window did not move. And now it seems as if both switches are not working It's a wiring problem I guess (and I know all about Italian wiring from my Alfa Spider!)
At high RPM there was no problem and the car was running on all 8 cylinders. However, at lower RPM, I believe it was running on only 7 cylinders I could feel the 8th cut in when the RPM increased. This was somewhat worrying.
Today when I moved the car out of the garage there was a small pool of oil underneath the engine

The sooner I have the car serviced, the better...and until then, I'll be careful! How serious is the 7-cylinder thing guys?

Ladies and Gents,

I'm proud to present you a small gallery of the "Easter Drive 2003". The two first pics were taken before we drove off to H. to meet the others. We took the red 355 due to the fact that Michael Schumacher seemed to win the race in Imola at this time.

At first, only Heiko was at the meeting point, but after about 20 minutes, T. and H. with his wife joined us. At four we started our trip through the beautiful "Lwensteiner Berge". Oh, please check out Heiko's rims (self-made logos) and his carpets...really clean! On the second pic you can adore his back and the Ferrari shoes

The last pic was shot by my co-driver; you can see the red "corso" some kilometres before we drove through that tunnel.

It was a really nice trip and I hope we soon meet again, hopefully with more than 4 cars. On the way we saw many Ferrari fans waving and shouting, good feeling. Seems people love these red cars :-)

A happy week

Hi all,

I came home two hours ago and will try to upload the pics and the video sequence tomorrow evening. The drive through the tunnel with the 4 Ferraris was one of the best videos I've ever taped. NICE !!! You'll die when you listen to that sound. Is not as beautiful as in the car, but sounds really really good.

I also took some pictures, but due to the fact that my "photographer" did not do too much work, we only have about 8 I took at the meeting point and 1 from in-car.

Get the video...I'll tell you when it's online. Heiko, nice trip, thanks for the orga. Hope to see you all soon again.

I'm now back from holiday and I'm very sorry not to participate in your tours.

Ferrari has won the GP in Imola - Congratulations ;-)

I hope you have had a wonderful trip - please post some pictures if available.

See you all next time - Wolfgang, what's up with next friday for the FCD-Stammtisch?

Can you give me a call on Thursday in my office?

Hi & good morning Gents,

I`m very sad not to take part/drive with you today. Private reasons...must take care of my parents; they need me and my father is still in hospital after an operation.

Mark,
all my respect to drive so far (over 400km) to meet the group for a day-trip! Hopefully we can make it happen to see us in May in Maranello, Italy?

Have a great, sunny day and I will be in my mind with you.
Take care on the road!
