Jack,

I`m impressed! This is a preety cool collection of rare cars. I love Alfa Romeo and this was my biggest fault to sell 2001 my beloved Alfa Romeo Spider Fastback from 1981.
Right now I`m on the way to buy a 1989 Testarossa.
You are soooo right, a MAN needs a 12 cylinder!!!

>>>7 cars & all Ferraris????

I wish THAT was true, would be hard to pick the 7 that I would really like.

>>>Please tell me more about your collection.

It is nothing spectaculair at this moment:

1 x Alfa Romeo Junior Zagato 1970 which will "soon" become a cafe racer.

1 x Alfa Romeo Junior Zagato 1972 in concourse condition, will get a 2000 engine as I am fed up with great looks and a mere 90 HP...

1 x Alfa Romeo 1750 Berlina 1968, upgraded to a "hot 2000" engine as daily driver for the longer stretches and bi-fuel LPG/gasoline.

1 x Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300 TI 1967 acquired from the first owner in showroom condition and 67,000 km on the clock when I bought it 5 years ago, now 72,000 km.

1 x Fiat 2300S Coupe 1964, my old daily driver, also bi-fuel and waiting for parts for an engine overhaul (now has close to 300,000 km on the clock).

1 x MG Midget MKIII 1967, we all err in our youthfulness...

Not disclosing what the modern one is that I use for short stretches and as company hack.... (hangs his head in shame....)

The only classic that I ever sold was a 1963 250 GTE 2+2 that I bought in Italy and somebody offered me a tremendous amount of profit on it so I sold it on, as I said regretting it to this day...

The two favorites that I mentioned are within relatively easy reach as they are both around 50 - 60 K$ and I REALLY like the styling on those + they are V12's....

A friend of mine can't leave a car alone and is constantly upgrading cars so we are about to buy two empty 250 GTE 2+2 shells (sadly slaughtered for YET another 250 GTO replica...) and putting 400 or 412 drive-trains in...

I am still in doubt Wolfgang...

Currently owning 7 cars, I am thinking of selling the lot as that is simply too much and going for either a relatively easy car (in terms of maintenance, parts etc.) like a 308 or for a classic again.

Top of the list for me is still a 365 GTC/4, closely followed by a 250 PF Coupe.

Problem for me is parting with my cars as each one brings a HUGE smile on my face when I take it for a spin and each one holds specific memories.

I have only once in my life sold one of my classics and regret the sale to this day...

But in all seriousness (sounds weird coming from my mouth huh?) the register was compiled by a private person and especially for the younger cars, it was mainly based on whenever cars were advertised.

So, see it as a compliment, you car wasn't advertised in its younger years so the owner was VERY happy with it!

:-D

>>>h, whats wrong with my car?

It's yours and should be MINE!

Hahahaha!

>>>"Please note that the highest S/N in the register is # 40965 so there is no information available on S/N's higher than that"""

-My VIN# is 53345<<<

If I knew who had compiled that register, I would kick his @ss and tell him to include your car!

Unfortunately, I don't know who compiled it...

-My car is a mid-1980 from 1984!!!

"""Please note that the highest S/N in the register is # 40965 so there is no information available on S/N's higher than that"""

-My VIN# is 53345

h, whats wrong with my car?

I was realy, realy ready to fill out your form.

I am from Amsterdam and my experience is that tourists usually don't ask for a coffee!

Jack,

well Germany is such a smal country - anyway if its Hamburg or Munich just compare it to the USA.

"""FerrariStuff.com will never make me a rich man but """ ....A FAMOUS MAN !!!

"""Now all I have to do is turn the visitors into buyers"""....Dear Jack, pleeeease, if you find this tool to make it happen, that every visitor becomes a buyer you are my KING;-) I have already between 200-300 visitors a day on my store-web-site.

Amsterdam / Coffee....this kind of coffee sucks, sorry!

>>>" few miles down the road to Barmen " sorry, what means BARMEN? This a city?

SHOOT!

I messed up...
That's Wuppertal - Barmen...
NOT Heidelberg - Barmen....

:-(

>>>You have one of the fastest servers I have ever been.

Ooof... TG! You scared me!

>>>10 visitors at the same time amazing!!!!! I blieve your business/store runs like a damn rocket;-)

FerrariStuff.com will never make me a rich man but it sure is a lot of fun to run (especially for someone with a collector's heart like me).

The site is increadibly "heavy" because of all the graphics and generates between 0.7 and 1.0 Gigabyte of data traffic a day.

Now all I have to do is turn the visitors into buyers...

Luckily we have a "couple" more shops to provide income....

Hahahaha!

>>>Amsterdam drive, yep give me a reason and I will go/drive

Uh.... uh... uh.... coffee shops? ;-)

Best,
Jack

Hi Wolfgang,

Always welcome for coffee and other Dutch delicacies (such as cheese)!

>>>When your slow server is ready for the next step

Is it that slow? It should be able to handle some 10 visitors at the same time very well. Please let me know as I experienced it also being very slow when I visited a friend and wanted to show the site.

>>>Amsterdam is still 500 or more km far from me

Hey... why do you think you have a Ferrari!? Are you REALLY complaining about having to spend 2,5 hours in that beautiful car? ;-)

>>>my city Heidelberg/Schwetzingen

Lucky you! Just a few miles down the road to Barmen and you probably wouldn't have been able to afford your F-car...

Hahahaha!

Jack,

I`m waiting for my gift!
I know, I made your day. Sometimes its only just a mouse click to make somebody smile/laugh?!
When your slow server is ready for the next step, just advice me and I will fill out the VIN # you are asking for on the other side.
Amsterdam is still 500 or more km far from me and my city Heidelberg/Schwetzingen.
Anyway, you are always very welcome for a real and tasteful coffee.
