Dirk,

Would it be possible to post any other pictures of the Stradales? How did they sound, and which color did you prefer, blue or black?

Thanks,

Paul

Ton and Roel,

The angry face was not bad but I think we have to admit that it goes very well in combination with a red Ferrari.
Seems to be very convincing to security personal :-)

Roel,

There is lot of room at the track and I already realised during my double 360 spin that I was not going to hit something. So it didn't freak me out. The only thing that scared me was other traffic. But the only other Ferrari that I saw was Jens' 348. Jens had this huge grin on his face when he passed me.
It was real fun and it is highly addictive.

I will tell you about the tricks that Jens and I pulled when we meet again (incl the angry face trick). They sure did work!

Dirk: There's some great shots of the 333 SP in there! thanks alot, used one as my new background pic. Such a beauty.

Jens & Ton: Oh my god, I can't believe you guys got some track time on spa and I'm missing out again! Just like last year, went there for the the saturday only, bad weather, while on sunday all the F1 cars do their laps. Arghhhh!
But still, unbelievably cool that you guys got some (free!) laps on spa. Ton was this your first track experience with the 328? guess so huh? I'm surprised if you tell me you kept your pants dry during that spin, unbelievable!

ps: You really need to teach me that "angryface" trick of yours sometime. It seems to open doors that stay closed for others :-) I can see some possibilities of using this skill to my advantage in the future.

No sadly no Enzo in Spa! There were very few street Ferraris in the Paddock (around 80?!) due to the very bad rain on both days of the weekend, I guess :-(

Well the 312 PB is a much faster car than a P3 so no mistery there. The 312 P is lighter , more powerful , and 3 years younger . Bosh drive with the Daytona Competizione was much more impressive , he finished in front of the 512 M and not so far from the P3 ...Not bad for a daytona !

That 250 LM is awesome. We discovered that it had some nasty dents and scratches. Let's call them war scars. Nevertheless it was a pleasure to see this car drive.

btw. please post as many pics as possible. I'd love to see them all.

Yeh, it looked pretty silly, a guy of his size and "width" driving around in a super car like that.

When he got out he needed a hand because he was stuck I guess.

It's a real shame, but at least we were able to see this one, and driving around aswell. Most cars are just standing around, collecting dust.

The guy in the green suit, was just filling up one of the cars, just a second.
I'll try to edit the photo's a bit, the originals are way to dark.

That's a shame, since it's such a magnificent car.

Was the owner the same guy that drove on of the Historic F1's ? A pretty firm guy with a beard ?

When we went home we walked passed it, and that guy was there, aswell as the mechanic (in a green suit) and 3 other guys (also from the historic cars) drinking wine, looking real snobby.

Way to bad, cars like that are owned by people like them :-(

Bart
you are right that last one is really good ;)
and i also saw them working on the laptop, and they didn't drive on saterday because of the rain.
You know, now that i see that McLaren pic, that reminds me, you wouldn't believe what a yerk the owner is, on saterday morning i saw him arriving, and when he was getting out i tried to ask him if i could take an interior shot, and before i even could finuish my sentence he slammed the door shut, and yelled NO and walked away

Some pics, many were of bad quality :-(

Dirk, to bad it wasn't driven the way it supposed to be, but IMO understandable. When we visited their box, they were pretty busy on the lap-top. I'm not sure why, since it wasn't driven on saturday. Maybe some new software orso, who knows ?

My personal favorite is the last one :-)

that's a Monza, i couldn't help myself when i passed the them on the way home, the pic came out pretty good, and it will take me a while to create the gallery's from them since i have so many good shots.

Bart
yes the 333 SP drove on sunday 2 times
but it was obvious that the driver/owner didn't knew Spa very well and that he wasn't used to driving that car, he went very slow, never reved the engine for the public and stuff like that, perhaps he had just bought the car?

It was real nice to meet you guys, Ton, Jens, Bart and Guy. To bad we left early, since you (Jens & Ton) went on the track on saturday aswell.
I enjoyed meeting you all in person, aswell as your ferrari's.

Ton, no damage when you spun off ? You must have been lucky, the 308 which spun off before wasn't that lucky :-(

I'll post some pictures when I get home.

btw, great to see Lauda's F1 car on the track, must have been a great sound. Did the 333 SP went on the track aswell ?

Looking forward to the next meeting, so until then :-)

there wasn't a red Stradale
only a black and a dark blue one

i was really pissed-off when they drove the Stradale's only 1 lap and then putted the cars away again

The last two days were, although the weather was very bad, a lot of fun. I spend most of the time with Jens and we had the pleasure to meet Bart Bosmans, Bart Boonacker, Roel, Guy, Andrew and Dirk at this great event.
Although we did not have the proper ticket Jens and I spend most of the day in the pitslane and we drove on the track (yes, you reading this correctly) both days! I even spun my car on the track! It was great fun. Unfortunately none of the above mentioned fchatters was stil at Spa at the end of both days when we had the opportunity to go on the track. It would have been great to take one of you guys around for a couple of laps.

Bart, did you go on the track? I tried to call you on your mobile phone today. We still saw your car at the paddock at the end of the day.

Dirk, do you have pictures of the stradale? Did you take pictures at the paddock?

Anyway...it was great to meet you guys. I am already looking forward to the next event (hopefully in better weather).

Does any of the Dutch guys that is heading for Spa on Sunday have a seat free?

I can't find any travel companions with this weather forecast and driving the whole stretch on my own doesn't appeal either to me due to the weather.

Honestly, I CAN be a pleasant person at times... ;-)

great Ton

and don't worry it will be very easy to find me, just follow the 2 trails of drool (the other one will be from Andrew Menasce) and when you see 2 weirdo's that scare other people away, then you have found me ;) :D

i will probably barelly take half of what i took today the next day's, like i said there wasn't a lot of people around so i had a great change to take some good shots, and since i was alone today i could focus on it.

the weather was great today, and saw some interesting cars
there's a 330 P3, i even helped to remove the front cover of the car :-) , that really made my day, there's also a 333 SP, i saw the 2 Stradale's but they are still stuffed away in a pitbox, no way to reach them, also the 2 F1's from Ferrari where behind locked doors.
