Hi Uwe,

I`m happy with you and your new sound experience on your F328.
I understand your reasons not going to Hockenheim.
Sure, Bea & the Kids is much more important!!!
Golf course, well we discussed this last weekend;-)))
Prices, mhm you are right. We also don`t go for the race, just the party, action and awesome surrounding without paying anything for entry. We will see on Sunday the race at RTL.

Hi Wolfgang,

currently spoken to R.F. All with the car is fine. I'm glad to hear the sound tomorrow.

Hockenheim will not be my part because of three reasons:

- return of Bea and kids from Poland (juppie ;-))
- golf course (last day)
- to much expensive for driving in a circuit
- it's better to see the summary on DSF at 08:00 pm.

Hi Wolfgang,

that is a good idea. I've seen 360 Spyder vor less than 20.000,00 in mobile.de ;-)

I've been called to attention by carpassion but I think that's a fake :-)

PS: Tomorrow I will get my "racing machine" back. Thomas will take me to R.F and I can pick up my "baby". It's total amazing ;-)

Hi Mark,

I stopped my hunting for the 512TR till October/November. Its still too expensive in summer to buy. So I can and will wait till end of the year, when the prices drop down a bit.

Mark,
otherwise, for me is the original Testarossa the REAL , old and made under Enzo`s construnction Ferrari. Mhmmm strange to find the right toy.
I love the Testarossa sooooooooo much but the 512TR is faster, safer and better handling and I already own a `85 Ferrari.

Wolfgang,

I don't know about the power being up, but the car is quieter (Yes! Seriously!) and the fuel consumption has increased. But she runs beautifully!

The electricals all work now, but the left hand door has an irritating internal rattle. I will have to figure out how to open it up and tighten whatever is loose.

The right hand headlight is seriously cracked and I have no idea when or how that happened. It could only have been on the way to Germany a month ago. Nevertheless, I have contacted Ferrari UK and they can provide lenses for both LHD and RHD cars. It's interesting that the RDH (UK) lenses are much less expensive that the LHD (Euro/USA) lenses! I may just convert to UK lenses for obvious reasons.

Can't wait to get out into the country this weekend! I'll be on my own again as Debra will be in Austria with visiting family.

Later, MARK

Mark,

hello good to CU somebody else on fchat.com Europe. I thought everybody is sleeping, vacation or so?

Well about the differences testarossa / TR512:
TR 512:
- 30 PS more power
- much better brakes and later `93 ABS
- the engine is a bit deeper mounted in the car
for better handling
- 18" wheels with bigger & fater pneus
and something more I don`t know.
Overall the 512 TR is faster, safer and much better handling!
I drove them both and IMO it worth it to pay a bit more!

Mark, whats up with your car? I think you have got also 30 PS more after the exchaust sytemn has benn changed?

Hi Wolfgang,

Please educate me - what is the difference between a 512 TR and a Testarossa? Is there a physical difference (with respect to outside appearance), or is it purely mechanical?

I think I'll have to buy a book and research this matter!

Thanks, MARK

Hi Steve,

yes, and I`m going for the 512TR as soon as I can get one in mint condition, 1-2 owners, less kilometers till 40.000 (25.000 miles), 1993 or 1994 with ABS.
Prices are in Germany around 70K US$ for the late 512 TR. A bit less (US$ 60K)for the early 91, `92.
Still to expensive, so I will wait till end of the year, when the prices drops down as usual in winter here.

Wolfgang, yes I agree with you 512 tr is the best, I believe (as well as many others will agree) one of the smoothest engines ever built by Ferrari, very different from the tr.. can I ask someone how much those 2 512's are going for, I can't read German??? GET A 512 while you can, theres only 2K out there!!

Sebastian,

yes, Im serious thinking about to buy a 512TR.
My eyes are open for both testarossa & 512TR.

"If I had the choice between the 12 and the V8..."
A 12 cylinder is a 12 cylinder. You can`t beat that with any 8 cylinder!

Reg.: Your famous web-site. I know very well how hard it is (you know my www.com) and I`m still working on a better, faster and more server friendly side.

"Ehrenmitglied" What a honour & pleasure!!!!
This will/should be my user name for your web-site - log me in please!

"...the BB Event from 12.7.-13.7. 2003......"
Sorry, what means BB event?
Are you talking about the Ferrari Club Deutschland?
I`m sorry, but I will NOT attend this event.
There are so many reasons...too much to list!
I also cancel my membership FCD this Friday evening at the FCD meeting.
A few more members are also like me and do not wanted to get ripped from this guys.

Jens,

thanks a lot again - you are preety coll and Im so happy for your support!
Well I know the red 512TR. A friend of mine from Heidelberg was on the way to buy this car 8 month ago. He didn`t `cause the kilometer and the service map with stamps doesn`t make any sence. I don`t know whats wrong but he told me sonething like: multiple owners (too much to list) always with the same ID on the licence plate. For ex.:
M-AD 230
HN-AD 230
HD-AD 230
F-AD 230
a.s.o. you see what I`m talking about?
And the service map has much more kilometers as the odometer already shows....mmhm?

But anyway I will call him next week `cause Ulli wanted to go to him.
Maybe we can arrange a meeting there?

Wolfgang,

I LOVE the 512 TR and the M-series. If I had the choice between the 12 and the V8...hm, would be a difficult decision to make. Although the 355 is my dream car...

Thanks for your nice words about my website. Yes, was some work to do, but I love the new design and the easy way to admin the site. Due to the fact that I did not have much time the past 3 weeks, there is no English version available at the moment.

"Ehrenmitglied" - well, why not? I think that's a good title that I dedicated to you. I got the first series of pictures (remember racing days?) with real exclusive shots...and this is the next amazing series you took. I'll get you a bottle of good Italian wine in return for that, believe me ;)

Oh, we registered for the BB Event from 12.7.-13.7. 2003. We'll take the black one, stay at a hotel near the "Kurpark" Saturday to Sunday night. Do you know anything about a "Concours d'Elegance" for modern cars? Would like to take part there with our beauty...

Wolfgang,

Ton and me have as well been to Sportwagen Engel yesterday. He has two 512TR at the moment. Both are in decent conditions and have a fair price. See his website: www.sportwagen-engel.com
BTW: The yellow one has run 133000km but still looks very, very unused due to the extended maintenance done.
Just a hint since you seem to have good connections to him as well.

Hi Gents,

so, I spoke/phoned 3 times with Mr. Koch tis morning. Top bottom cash 50K. Mhm, still something like f**** expensive for a testarossa; and not only in my opinion. I also had a longer phone conversatino with Mr. R.F.: "toooo much!"

Yes I`m sad & dissapointed but it will push me harder to find the right one for a resonable price.

Maybe it will get cheaper at the end of the summer...I have time enough to wait till the prices step down for winter season.

Anyway, please gents let me know if you find another one. I appreciate your friendly help very, very much. Thanks in advance.

Jens & Ton,

gents you are GREAT !!!!
Thanks a lot for your time to have a look on the testarossa. I`m highly delighted to hear the good news. Sound like this is the car "to die for"?
Its still a lots of money for a testarossa but if it worth it....mhmm?!?
Otherwise, if Im going to by one for 40-45k and spend another 10 for a major service and bla, bla, bla its better to get a 100% perfect one.

Sooooo, I first will call Mr. Koch (is it Mr. koch who is responsible?) and if we can find a solution by phone call, I will call Mr. R.F for .....you know!

Wow, it looks like Im on the way to buy this beauty.
Perfect - tomorrow is FATHER`s DAY!

Stay in touch with you & once again thank you so much gents.

Wolfgang,

I have been to Auto Koch with Ton today. The Testarossa is there and the car is really in MINT condition.
The interior and the engine bay look virtually brand new. The front spoiler has very few stone chips and looks good, too.
Car has had its last service with cambelt change this year, new TV and ASU this year, too. Additionally it has four brand new Michelin tires and a TUBI sport exhaust which looks very nice, too. Car is a german version delivered from Auto Becker.
It has full papers and stamps for every service in its warranty sheet. The saleswomen assured that it is in absolutely perfect mechanic conditions and the two owners cared for it well. There was no rust I could see anywhere.
Did not ask about discount but there should be one when you pay cash.
I dont know about the real conditions of the car since I am no mechanic but the engine bay looked absolutely MINT and the interior (even the knobs and center console) was flawless (No visible wear of the black leather seats, too)
I really recommend to have a look at the car although the drive for you might be quite long! Perhaps you just call them to arrange a test drive or something.

Con saluti cordialissimi,
Jens Haller

P.S. Perhaps Ton can add something about the car too!

you might be right saw Bad Breisig on the map, its real close to Bonn.
So hopefully the car is at Auto-Koch and he is responsible for the sale.
I`m nervous and excited.
Try to test drive the car if possible and please have a closer llok to the inspection map.
Thanky you so much for your help Jens!

Wolfgang,

Just looked up that car at mobile.de. It is indeed the same car. Bad Breisig is very near to Bonn, too and the km are nearly identical.
Guess this one just forgot to draw back the offer when having sold it to Auto Koch. Thats just a guess off course. I can verify or clear up that shortly when having a look at the car.
Till then!

P.S. Perhaps a conseignment with different dealers who offer the same car?

I found my can through Kim Dennig at Dennig Cars. He has 6 cars listed, three of which are in Europe. Take a look at: http://www.dennigcars.com ...all around EUR 54,000.

Hello Jens,

sorry, I started a new thread `cause I do not want to go "Off-Topic" with the Donington-Thread.

Thank you so much to take you time for a closer look to the Bonn/Koch/Testarosa. Its realy a beautiful car with documents, less kilometers in a great condition. I`m wondering whats the real price is? You can call me 24 hours over my mobil, still the same number:
0170/1647222

Thanks in advance and hope to hear from you.

Yes, I`m hungry for the 12 cylinder!!!
