Wolfgang,
it truely is time to lay this to rest. I for one thank Helmut for the link. It was purely timed then but I had a chance to look at the new pictures yesterday.

Will we learn what had happened, No. I am afraid we will never.
The pictures have brought the risk to my eyes again and put a shock facor in me.

I was on the track with my Challenge car today and had many thoughts about the two and what happened. I eased up pretty go not to push to the limit. If that is all that these pictures did to me and hopefully to others, their death was not in vain.

I understand and respect you all for the emotions you are feeling. I do the same. Calling names and trying to put one member out here as the bad guy does not help neither solve anything.

It runs very emotional (full understandable!) and a lots of bad things were
written. Once again I have had a long phone conversation with Helmut yesterday.
What I didn`t know, and I`m realy happy to hear and see it from Helmut is, that Ton & Bart
droped him an email with their apologices and regret for their posts done in blind furys.
Thats very gent form Ton & Bart and I didn`t know this Helmut, sorry. So you are right and they sent their excuses!

Please do not reply any more on this thread, let it just drop down. Its time to close this book
and let Jens & Amar rest in peace

Hi Ulf,

good to see you back on board here.
Im happy, that the European community is growing with new members and the friends from Jens & Amar are back online. I`m absolut sure Jens & Amar would appreciate this very much.
You are one of only a few members who hase been together with Jens & Amar on the Nrburgring. So you know REALY what happened and that Jens was a preety good & cool driver.
You don`t need to discuss this with outstanding people like Helmut...he don`t worth it!
------"Wolfgang E., Bart B. and Ton V. have sent me their
honest excuses "---------
Mhm, that was the only email I have sent to Helmut:
"Ich danke Dir fr Deinen Anruf und bin weiterhin
fr Jeden und Alles immer erreichbar.
Ich hoffe und wnsche mir, dass in Zukunft solche Dinge lieber direkt, sofort off-line geklrt werden.
Mit freundlichen Gssen
Wolfgang"
Here the short translation:
Thanks a lot for calling me and everybody can call me everytime. I would like/wish that inthe future we can discuss this offline
Yours Sincerely
Wolfgang

I only apologiced me for the fault, that I thought he has shot the pics and trys to make some bucks with them.
NO MORE OR LESS!

I also spoke to Ton....no honest excuses!

Ulf,
about Jens funeral, please call me and I let you know more details over phone or PM. Just go to my profile for the phone numbers.

PLEASE LET US CLOSE THIS BOOK AT FCHAT.COM!

Rest in Peace means Rest in Peace.

Hello Ulf

please stop posting emails like this!

I never ever have said, that Jens H. hasn't been a careful driver himself and I also have noted that Jens and Amar have friends on FChat, which is absolutely ok.

You should know that I have got 274 positive emails from fellow FChat users who understood and defended my good intension why I have posted the link to the pics (which I haven't taken myself).

A huge number of members felt very sorry and upset why I have got some rude comments and bad words BUT I don't want to start this theme again.

Wolfgang E., Bart B. and Ton V. have sent me their
honest excuses - so let's have a stop.

If you or anybody else feel to continue, then he may feel free to send an email to my private address which is:

Helmut, Jens was a careful driver. I drove behind him for 2 laps and he took it easy. Don't judge him. Furthermore both Jens and Amar had a lot of friends here at FC.

Helmut, I agree with you...
I still have not seen the photos, but by seeing them we can all learn soemthing positive from them. We can all remeber when we are out at a Trackday to think twice and take it steady in the morning, learn the circuit and push a harder in the afternoon. My fathers friend was killed and my father parazlyed from the chest down from a racing accident. I have learned a great deal from his accident. Its upto the individual to decide if they want to look at the photos. Its not bad taste, its looking at the photos and realisng this is what can happen on a Trackday and remeber to stay safe and turn this tragic loss into something positive. I think we all, THINK trackdays are safe to a degree becuase the event is controlled and safety gear must be worn. Well, its not the case and all motorsport is dangerous...
RIP Amar and Jens God bless them.

I understand Amars was a FOC Registered member in the UK. I think a minute silence should be given in respect to Amars and Jens at the UK National Concours on Sunday 06/07. What do you all think ????

Hi all, Why are you all so agressive against Helmut ?
I didn't see his pictures, but i read things like motherf..., tasteless and more, please guys, a little respect, 2 guys died, think about their family.
When we are racing we all know that the risk is there, always, every time again...
About Helmut, i want to say that he is a great photographer and he is doing fantastic work.
When Senna died, the press published pictures.
When Villeneuve died also, Ratzenberger, every day you see pictures of crashed cars in the newspaper. I'm sure some people wants to see this pictures of the crash, that's reality...
Everybody may have his opinion, but don't be so agressive against Helmut, he is doing his job, sorry all. The pictures are removed, so Rob decided.

Why are you so aggressiv?

I have spoken with Jens a couple of weeks ago and
asked him to be very careful inviting Ferrari owners with now Nurburgring experiences driving on the old Nordschleife. I suggested him to wear crash helmets, to book an professional instructor for a couple of laps but Jens was laughing and said: Helmut, we just want to drive a few quick laps with more or less speed.
Well, we know the result.
