Ok... i officially feel like a moron. You all see how it's easy to confuse those two, right...? That XJ13 has a similar shape to the Miura... i'm still learning - and this is one of the best ways... :-)

Wolfgang
Wouter is correct. This one is as real as it gets having been resurrected from the destroyed original. Note wheels on the reproduction made in NZ.

You could have a XJ13 built by this company in New Zealand:
http://www.temperocars.com/about/aboutreference4.html

They also do Ferrari reproductions and other classic Jags.

The XJ13 was constructed in 1966 and first tested in 1967. It proved to be quite quick, but Jaguar's officials were not up to launch a car that would leave the rest of the line-up obsolete. It remained a secret until 1971, when it was used for making a film on the V12 E-Type. A tire collapsed at high speed, resulting in a horrible crash. The car was reconstructed two years later to its original specs and confined into a museum.

Today it seems to attend every classic show in Europe.

It was the real deal, as real as it gets. If I'm not mistaken, the original car was destroyed in a fire which also halted the program. This car is the reconstruction. I'm not 100% sure about this story though .. a lot is unclear about this car.

James, DES,

".....Look the wheels. Look at the wheel's on the Concorde. (That's one way to tell if it's a real XJ13)"

I know so less about this XJ13, but everything seems to be perfect to me. So please delight me my dear friends. Is THIS a fake? There was a big sign beside the car with all the history, Ser# a.s.o

I should have taken more shots of the Countach, but I was on my way to the Alfa Romeo 6C 2500s, which I really had to take some more shots of. (I'm a sucker for 6C 2500s!)

Here is an interesting angle of the XJ13

DES,

thanks for the compliment. Just wondering which car you are talking about?
The Lamborghini MIURA -non topless-is the BLUE one posted again by Wouter.
The car "I felt in Love" is a British Racing Green
(very dark color)Jaguar XJ13 -topless. But my pics are very bad quality, so it might be hard to see/identify.

Lucky Wouter,
you heard the XJ13 - I`m envious. Thats the reason I prefer events like the Oldtimer Grand Prix at the Nrburgring. I want to see and hear them driven! Schwetzingen is like to visit a museum.
Yes, I saw the black OSCA but sorry no pics

I saw and heard the XJ13 drive up, truely stunning! The Miura was perfect and actually used quite a lot.
Did you see that black Osca? It's completely original, even the tires are original.

I am in the 275 GTB shot walking on the grass, just above the Lusso. I was there as a journalist, so I got in on Friday already!

Here is the Saoutchik Jaguar SS 100, which I included in our update this week:

Willis & Alan,

wow, you see that the blue Lamborghini Countach is a Walter Wolf one?!? I`m impressed and you are of course absolut right! Sorry no more pics from this beauty. The car was brought to the event by BOB FOSTNER from Lamborghini Stuttgart, Germany. Here is a link to his web-site:
http://www.lamborghini.de/
The Walter Wolf Countach is not 4 sale and on display in one of the best museums in Europe: The Rosso Bianco. Check out their web-site:
http://www.rosso-bianco.de
Today the weather is again very cloudy here in Germany but I will try to shoot some more pics of this cars. The event is very close to my house, only 1 mile away;-)
