If you want to learn more about Spyker, you might find the following feature I did about them interesting.

Actually the Bentley is a mock-up. The original car was expected to be there, but it blew its engine when parading down the Champs Eleyses after the race.

Dirk,

thanks didn`t know this about mails. Mhmm, sometimes I send around 100MB to my web-designer who runs my web-site for me - just updates.

So, I`m looking forward to CU on Sunday at the OGP

Hey Wolfgang
i was planning on going on saterday and maybe on sunday, depends a little bit on how all the works out with work if i can go or not.

and about the e-mail most ISP don't allow mails that big, mine only allows me to send attachments up to 4-5 Mb and i surf on cable.
Receiving is mostly allowed, depends on what they programmed on their mailservers

Dirk,

yes, I will be at the OGP Nrburgring. Hope to CU & meet you there. We will drive together with over 10 Ferraris on Sunday to the Nrburgring.

About the 20MB mail:
I can send emails to other email adresses how much I want, there is no limit on my pc/server. Maybe other users have a limit or not ISDN thats why I asked. Or, why can`t I send 20MB?
I`m not a prof computer junky, just a user. so please nelight me.

Wouter,

I can not post the pics from the Bugatti Atlantic here. I have set up them in a Power Point Presentation on my PC and there is no way to copy the pics back to jpeg for the forum. Anyway if you would like to see the pics from the 2001 event - the whole PPP, it would be a pleasure for me to sent you an email with the PPP. Just want to mention its 20MB!!!
Let me know or drop me a PM for return.

I already saw a P3(P4) this year ... but what I would like to see is that Atlantic and some Superamericas and a 365 California. These are some of the very few Ferraris that I have yet to see.

Wouter,

you are right and it realy worth it to go there!!!
But, as usual, we are always looking for higher, better, more, faster, rarer...to beat the last year or so.
But there is no way to beat a Bugatti T57 SC Atlantic. STOP, sorry there is ONE car who can beat all the others:

FERRARI 330 P3/4 !!!

Hi Mr. James Glickenhaus:
Hope to CU here in Germany next year.
If you would like to come over with your P4 you are kindly invited to stay in my house, only half a mile from Schwetzingen and the event!

This was my first time over. It surprised me that there was an event at all this year, after learning that the organiser Bob Gathercole had to cough up several 100.000 euros to close last year's budget.

For me, from a professional point of view, there were plenty of great cars on the fields to make the trip worth while. I got the best shots ever of a ton of cars, just look at the two shots I posted in the other thread.

Being so focussed on my work, it is hard for me to objectively say if I would have come over as an enthusiast as well. The regular crowd is very restricted, by the wires and all. Personally I'm more a fan of active events, with the cars doing what they were built for, racing.

Wouter,

have you been at the 1. & 2. Concours D`Elegance in Schwetzingen?
I have been there in 2001 and 2002 and in my opinion the quality of the cars is going down.
In the first year 2001 we saw the most beauitful and amazing one-of-a-kind cars which have ever been in Europe. So many rare Ferraris & Bugattis.
F.E.: Ferrari 250 TRC 1957, Maserati 250F1 1956, Ford GT40 MKIII 1969, Bugatti T57 SC Atlantic..a.s.o.
I`m serious asking whats going on there? Still great cars but for me the 2. row....ups ugly english translation, sorry.
Do you know the reason?

The owner does have the engine, but 20 years ago he got his hands on the GTE engine cheaply and decided to install that. He found the Lampredi unit too complex to reconstruct. The body and the interior of that car looked superb though.

That 340 America has a 250 GT engine installed. I stood next to it when it was judged and the owner claimed it had the Lampredi installed. 128F was stamped on various places on the engine, but the judges did not seem to notice it. Prety weird , all of us that knew were sportive enough not to tell the judges.
