Hi Mark,

>the piece of SH*T in my dashboard right now is just embarassing!

that depends on the originality ;-)
Is it an original radio of Ferrari?

If not than replace it. Here in Germany (esp. "Media Markt") most of the car sound systems are pretty cheap ...

Guys,

I want the MP3 player as a hole filler! A good looking (and functional) hole filler! I agree that the sound of our cars is awesome, but the piece of SH*T in my dashboard right now is just embarassing!

Heiko - does the "HD" in your new radio stand for Hard Disk? That sounds very interesting! What model is it?

Enjoy your party and "polterabend"!
Mhmm great vocabular, respect and I was forced to use my "Wrterbuch" 3 times(cynical, ambigous, jingoistic)
No, don`t care about you are right and be like you are..."that`s me"!!! Once again, same like me, keep on buddy!!!
About the meeting in Switzerland, sorry I can not share your drive this time - hopefully and maybe the next time?!

Hey,

I strated this thread with the silly idea to get some gents together for the Saturday 26. drive.
Mhmm, no big response only 3 drivers will meet on Saturday.

Well, I lost the controll of the thread and changed to the car-audio question....hope to wake you up in Europe. Once again stupid idea of mine.
Are you all on vaction, sleeping or swimming somewhere in the sea?
Pleeeease don`t tell me you are all working?!? `cause working means to be at the PC and online;-)

Trevi my dear swiss friend, you are the one and only online - keep on...otherwise I go now in the Beer Garden for 1, 2, 3,...beer

Cheers

Hi,

well this is an interesting thema.
Why do we have a 200 (or more) Watt sound-system in our cars?
Let me tell you a story from a friend (no, he is NOT on this board!):
"I couldn`t hear any longer from my passenger/wife...don`t drive so fast, take care, look here, aaaah, ooooh, ggggrrr, haven`t you seen this and that and slow down....bla, bla, bla" So he dicied to install a 200 Watt power sound-system and sorry: what have you said? Couldn`herar you? Upload
I`m not kidding, thats a true story.
Tell me WHY you all have installed a sound system in your FERRARI? I mean why in a Ferrari?

I love music, I`m a musican and I own my bucks with music business. I love to hear music 24 hours...but in my Ferrari never ever.

Hi Mark,

in opposite to Wolfang I have an MP3 Player in my car (obviously it is regrettable after the change of the exhaust this week ;-))

I have a KENWOOD (sorry do not know the specification) and a BOSE Sound System in my car. That is really great.

What I really like most is the non stop playing of more than 8 hours of music on one cd ;-)

Mark,

I do not have in my Ferrari a
- Radio
- CD Player
- MP 3
- or anything else

I HAVE A TUBISTYLE and just enjoy THIS sound!
Its true, i don`t care about music or radio in my car.

Yes Worfgang, music is an important part of my life...and here's an appropriate song:

http://www.sing365.com/music/lyric.nsf/SongUnid/EA13CAA7E776D30A48256CCC00138C61

.....a brilliant song from the early 70's by my favourite Dutch band!

Mark,

2 Jaguars????????
Thats close to a smal private ZOO
and let the car industry grow.

Mark, I know you are also in love with music - like I`m.
So I would like to dedicate this song for you and your Ferrari after you have missed him for 3 long weeks:

On the road again
Just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again
On the road again
Goin' places that I've never been
Seein' things that I may never see again,
And I can't wait to get on the road again.
Upload
On the road again
Like a band of gypsies we go down the highway
We're the best of friends
Insisting that the world be turnin' our way
And our way
Is on the road again
Just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again
Upload
On the road again
Like a band of gypsies we go down the highway
We're the best of friends
Insisting that the world be turnin' our way
And our way
Is on the road again
Upload
Just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again
And I can't wait to get on the road again

I have not owned a commuter car for at least 8 years now...but am about to move into a role where I have been offered some nice automotive alternatives. Uwe said I should take 2 Jaguars so that I will have one to drive while the other's in the garage for repairs

Hi Wolfgang,

uuups - it seems to be a missunderstandig.
I did not mean that you do not have a personality (we both know better) but that a car will not represent the human behind it.

I wanted to say that you do not need an expensive or unique car for your personality but you are the personality in personam ;-)

Actually I came back from Mercedes Benz - MY CAR IS ALWAYS AT THE GARAGE ;-)
I can pick it up at friday afternoon 04.00 pm.
Please all, feel with me at friday. At that moment i will be the happiest man in the forum ;-)

I know the Astra sucks! My wife would like to buy a Alfa Romeo 156 Kombi. What do you think about this car? Does my personality grows a bit with this toy?
You see I`m working hard to get your reputation:-)

Hi Wolfgang,

I'm with you and your F*** Astra. But a car is not an impression of strengthness ;-) it is an impression of personality ;-)

The SL is for relaxing while driving to our customers (on the other hand I have to be carefull parking the car next to the BMW 318i Compact of the customers director ;-)

Maybe we can have a phone call on saturday and you can demonstrate the sound by mobile ;-)

Uwe,

this sounds preety good to me and thats the way I like sport: ".....when I'm sitting in the lounge of the golf club"!!!!

Of course we will have a sound-check on Saturday with your 328. We can compare it with:
Ulli / Mondial / Tubi
Sebastian / 355 / Capristo
Wolfgang / 308 / Tubi
I will let you know about the sound.
Have you already ordered the test-pipe too?

Congratulation to the MB SL 350!!! I`m a bit envious `cause my business car is only a f*** Opel Astra;-(

Hi Wolfgang
Hi Mark,

thank you very much for your sympathy ;-)
I will think of you at saturday afternoon when I'm sitting in the lounge of the golf club ;-)

My SL 350 will arrive next Monday or Thuesday. It's really amazing I'm happy like a little child before distribution of christmas presents.

I'm actually driving a SL 350 of our local MB Dealer. My customer consultant felt free to handle me a test car for two days.

Unfortunally I have had to to domestic work (I think it will take the rest of the week, too) and I never had the chance to drive the car for a longer distance.

But next week I will have my brand new car and enough time to make a ride on the highway...

I will be with you on Saturday.

@Wolfgang
I will bring my F 328 to R.F tomorrow morning because the exhaust from Heiko has arrived. Maybe you can check the sound on Saturday ;-)

Hi Mark

> Uwe, give up golf and stick to cars
hahahahahahaha .... good joke ;-)

Mark, I have teminied this appointment several weeks ago. I can drive my ferrari whenever I want but the golf course is only once in a quarter. Furthermore I will do the practice test with my partner and I think we will have much fun.

I consider that driving with the ferrari with such a lot friends will be more interesting but regrettably I can not cancel the practice because I have paid for it in the past.

So I wish you all a wonderful sunny and good skive and I hope you will think of me while I'm learning my golf practice to become a new Tiger Wood ;-)

Wolfgang would you please be so kind to make some pics and post them here in the forum.
