Hi Robert,

I don't even want to talk about that situation and the atrocious treatment I got from an official Ferrari dealer. Given my experience (and given the choice) I will always go to an independent specialist from now on!

By the way, I believe that Ferrari in both Germany and Italy read the thread on my incident and chose to ignore it. I guess they don't give a damn for the grass-roots owners.

In any event, my car has been repaired and is gorgeous.

Cheers, MARK

Sorry to read of your 328's injuries in the other thread! My father has a red/tan '88 as well. I went through an incredibly psychologically disturbing puchase of my 355 three years ago in Italy. Luckily, the car was not damaged AT ALL. Just many elements of the transaction were unsettling. In the happy end, I got a perfect 2 year old GTS that remains perfect to this day.

Hi Robert,

Hmmmm!! I have done the Dolomites around Brixen on my motorcycle, as well as the road from Maranello to Pisa. DAMN!! I have to do those roads in my 328 at some stage!

Cheers, MARK

Yes!!! Thanks Mark & Marc. I have e-mailed them to ask the same advice. The response is that they do not have any Germans except an SL55 for about $5k/week that "I surely would enjoy". I do not want to spend that, nor do I want the V8's european fuel costs on my tour next May. My ideal is a M3 SMG for $2.5K/ week or less. A 996 or 993 would be interesting as well. Any Deutschlanders or Italianos have advice??
Having my 355 for Northern Italy touring would be the dream...

Don't know of anyone in those areas, but if you are ever looking for similar services in the UK, www.carmania.co.uk have an extensive range of all of the above plus Ferrari's.

Good luck,

Marc.

Can anyone advise me of a place to hire A BMW M3, Merc. E55, Porsche 996 etc. or similar autos around Munich or Milan?
