Hi Didier,

i was in the factory because i have joined an event of my local Ferrari dealer.

All i can say is "It was worth every kilometer i had to drive to Maranello".

It was one of the most amazing events i ever had. I was surprised of all the handwork the employees have to do.

They have only two manufacturing streets (one for 8 cylinder cars "360" and one for 12 cylinder cars "456M"). All the lether in the car is completly hand made. Every motor which is manufactured is hand made. If any motor do not pass the technical tests it will be demontaged completly and go again through the manufacturing street.

The most amazing part in the factory was the test environment for the motors and the end control for each car.

I can give you only one advice:
"If you have the chance to visit the factory, do it!"

With red wishes

Hey Didier,

I have been so many times in Maranello but I have never been in the factory or drove at the race-track Fiorano. Hopefully we can drive in 3 weeks in Fiorano on our Italy drive. Its the 3rd drive for this year to Maranello and I hope to meet the gents,I know from the factory, this time in Maranello. We will see...and it won`t be the last drive;-) So I can always say: I`m looking forward to the next "MAMA" visit and maybe the dream comes true next time?

Hey Wolfgang,

Just saw the pictures on the FFOS photo album and I saw you went to Maranello. Had any chance of visiting the factory ? If yes, was it worth it ?

Didier.

Mark,

the TR is THE car..no doubt for me!
The Diablo looks perfect like a Diablo GT. But it was a converted Diablo to all the GT specifications. I spoke to the owner and he told me, that he spent over 100.000,- Euro only for the convertion! For example: Just the smal bonnet cost him 23.000,-!!!! Just crazy like the whole world is;-)
