checked it out on the website...quoted 1 "fourchette" = gastronomical cuisine. And it has also the little Michelin figure (bibendum ?) what indicates that it is their favorite...hope you will enjoy !!

Drive carefully !!

Didier.

Didier,

thanks a lot for the hint & link - excellent idea and once again just so easy to check it online.
Yep, I found one which sounds preety good and I will make reservation for Saturday evening dinner at:
Grotto della Salute
4, via dei Sindacatori
6900 Massagno
Sounds absolut beautiful and its exactly the place (Massagno) I will have appointment with my customer. I will say "salute" with a bottle of fine wine and remember of you on Saturday evening.

You know the French Michelin Red Guide with their selection of hotels and restaurants ? Can't go wrong with that guide. There is one for Switzerland. I have one what I did only read your thread this morning at work..too late. But here you can find it on the internet...

Have a nice weekend...

Simon,

thanks a lot and you are very welcome on every thread!
Yes, it was definitely THE weekend this year.
I have had the pleasure to show you my beloved Italian Restaurant, NINO`s great Italian dinner (Best outside of Italy), to meet some great gents from Switzerland, to drive together with you in a convoy.....too much to list. This evening and of course Sunday will be forever in my mind.
Thanks for driving this long way to join together with us the weekend. You guys are always very welcome for the next dinner & drive - just call me for arrangement and I will do my very, very best to top the last one!

Hi Wolfgang
I've finally got round to posting a thank you for the Nrburgring weekend...but there were so many posts about it that I've decided to hijack this one...sorry ;-)

It was a fantastic drive up with Trevi, and the convoy to the track was an experience to say the least. But I definitely think saturday night was the best. Far too much wine, food, grappa and then after you FOD guys left Trevi had the CRAZY idea (it definitely wasn't my idea ;-) )to go and try some more bars. The whole idea of driving up saturday was so we could get a few hours kip...in the end Andrea who drove up Sunday at 4am got more sleep than we did.

By the way, Heiko, it was pleasure having you as a passanger in my car on sunday although I could see you were glad to get back in yours at the Hockenheimring. One thing I didn't tell you though...on sunday morning I felt so sick after saturday night I nearly asked you to drive. But it's amazing how much better I felt once we hit 220Kph...perhaps I just had other things to concentrate on :-)

We'll definitely have meet up again.

See ya soon
Simon

P.S. regarding Lugano...a beautiful town...you basically can't go wrong for restaurants. I've stayed over night a few times there and never had a bad meal. Enjoy you stay there and like Trevi says take a drive around the lake, you normally see plenty of Ferraris.

Thanks Trevi,
any more recommendations? Maybe to drive thru or over the lake;-)
......still kidding. No, I`m serious asking for an Italian (Ferrari lovers) Restaurant for Saturday evening. Must not be direct in the city of Lugano - maybe a bit outside?

Hi Trevi, Simon, Andrea, Didier...and all the other gents.
I`m driving on Saturday (yep, this weekend) to Lugano and will stay there for 1 night and I`m going back on Sunday afternoon. No, no Ferrari event this time, just a usual business trip.
Do you know any places I MUST go/see?
Any Restaurants MUST eat?

Any recommendations are very welcome.

Wolfgang
