Let me stop before this get's VERY off topic!

I know what you are talking about. As most of real Ferrari fans, we are not into money, fortune, etc. BTW, all my fortune has gone into the car LOL. But it is not easy to encounter those people. This year I participated to 2 dealer Ferrari events. The first one was for the upper-class high society (dress-tie). But people are not interesting. They do not know much of their car (normal..it's just another toy) and are more talking about the decoration of their bathroom then about the choice of tires !

On the second event however, I really met some very nice people driving 308,328,348 and 355 cars. They had spent a lot of money to buy one of those and of course they are looking for a more recent one. But..who cares ! These were really passionate people doing normal jobs like hairdresser, car salesman, etc. But we had all one point in common : possessing a Ferrari is demanding, expensive, etc. but you get a lot pleasure back from the car. During that weekend, I really felt I was part of a big family talking about Ferrari and NOT their bathrooms.

That's the kind of people you have to meet (unless you like the jetset people). And really, it doesn't make a difference if it's an old or recent car. During the meeting, an Italian guy showed up with his Fiat Tipolino in perfect condition. He was attracting more people then the other 100 F-cars !

Welcom

Dear ALL,

Wouhaa ! Such very GREAT and WARM wlecome in this family ! You know, Ferrari is all for me, since the age of 8, my dream and my goal are to get a Ferrari, and after studying hard and getting a good job by working abroad, I could make my dream true 3 years ago, I was 24, with this Mondial T '90 Havana Leather. Every day has still been a Ferrari day in my head, so VERY VERY pleased to be abble to share it with other fans, belonging to the Ferrari Passionned Team ! I haven't found 'till now people to share this passion with... In the street, I would like so much people coming and speaking about the car, but it is still the same face from people : either jalous or thinking that I wonna show my money or that I'm too young to get this car by myself... But 'till now, I just met some dirty reactions to my dreaming car, I feel very fustrated and a bit desappointed with the reaction. It makes me feel that there is no passion to share with people about Ferrari, except rejection ? Even in the French Official Garage near Paris, they're looking at me as the guy driving 'just' a Mondial T, when they are expecting Modenas' owner...
So, even in the french temple of Ferrari in France, hard to share the passion, but just relation about money...
BUT now, I have the right connection, I will finally reach the right "station" and will be abble to find the real TIFOSIS, motivated by everything getting a Cavalino Rampente on the car, whatever the model, the production year, the colour or the price, but just because it is a Ferrari !!!!
Thanks to all for your support, and thanks for sharing the same point of view about our common dream : FERRARI !!!!!!!!

Matthieu

it's much better acustically and far easier to drive open (up to max speed of 275 km/h), with the roof closed i usually do not drive faster than 200 km/h.

heiko & matthieu

please update your profile with pics, no mondial section w/out pics!

it looks like the next repair is waiting on my mondial, i got slight vibrations on the left rear axis and i suppose it's gonna be the axle driveshaft. sheeeeet, one more major part in my endless breakdown list :-(
but the fix is gonna be postponed to next season, no money left for this one.

hey guys...I hope you are better in driving than in guessing people's first names..haha.

Bienvenue dans ce Forum Mattieu !!

I'm coming from Lausanne that is *very* close to the french border. Maybe we'll meet one day for a FFOS (Funky Ferrari Owners Switzerland) meeting.

Trevi has also a Mondial. He is an expert in telling you about all his reparations. His green Mondial is as new as possible..but it will still be the dirtiest Ferrari of Switzerland..hehe..

Have all a nice weekend and see ya next week...

Didier.
