I just got back! It was a beautiful day and there were 11 Ferrari's displayed on the marketsquare. But.... I forgot my camera! :-(

Nevertheless I had a real good time.

Ton :-)

So true!
Tomorrow I will go to a meeting of the Flemish Ferrari friends at Roeselare. We will display the cars on the marketsquare. I will post some pics later.

idle at 1000 is normal, driving regularly over 4000 is a must! :-)

Marc,

On my recent drive to the UK one of the car's HT leads got singed on the exhaust manifold and I had to run on 7 cylinders for a while. It was interesting to note that even on 7 cylinders, the car continued to idle at 1,000 RPM.

Cheers, MARK

Hi Marc,

I have not noted the RPM at 60-70 kph but when in 5th I frequently find myself reaching for a higher gear that isn't there! I have also thought that a 6th gear would be great.

Cheers, MARK

Do all Ferrari's generally rev high at normal cruising speeds?

Mine idles at around 1,000 which is normal, but at relatively low speeds (60/70kph)it is idling as high as 4,000rpm in top gear - sounds like it needs a sixth gear!

It doesn't affect the way the car drives (although I have little to go on in the way of comparisons, my last car having been an automatic BMW coupe), but I wondered if this sounds normal?
