Howdy Rob, well back from Dallas/Arlington since yesterday evening. Sadly not to meet you and the other guys but maybe next time in March? As usual I enjoyed my Dallas trip very much and I know the reason why you are so happy in Texas. Always very sunny and warm ( 30 Grad and in Germany its now only 5 Grad). AND we don`t have here such great places like: SILVER CITY or FANTASY FARM ...you lucky guys! I have also had the pleasure to see Alan Haynes playing in Lumpys, Forth Worth on Saturday evening. He is an awesome guitar-slinger from Austin. Do you know him? Wolfgang FORZA FERRARI

You can find the international stats somewhere in here... http://www.web-stat.com/stats.shtml?ferrarichat I would suspect that there are more international than this shows. I think maybe some international are coming through and hitting an American hub and this software recognizes the hub as being USA instead of orginal orgin. |

Woow, after the US, Canada and UK, we (dutch) are the biggest over here. That deserves an small applaud Rob, since Ton already sent you the adress of the FCN and FCB, I got nothing to add. I don't know any other Ferrari magazines over here. All I can say is that the FCN's club magazine is a real nice one. Comes 4 times a year, but with a very high quality. Bart |

Hi Ermin (...and all) if you are interested to get a copy of the nice SCUDERIA magazine please order the current issue. You can't get it from official Ferrari dealers because ....well, you know, for political reasons. The selling prize for one copy is 10 EUR plus p&p. I would send a "free" copy to every FChat member but have to charge 10 EUR for the p&p in Europe or 16 $US outside Europe. The weight of SCUDERIA is much higher than other Ferrari magazines and I always choose a very save packing via AIRMAIL. Please DO NOT order a copy on FChat but send an email only to me privately: [email protected] |

Howdy Rob, my deepest sympathy to Jennie and you. Come well back from Kansas. I will be every year two times in your area. March for the Dallas Guitar Show and October for the Arlington Guitar Show. So maybe next time we can have a drink together. I will let you know the dates a.s.a.p. Yes, the Europe section is an amazing growing community and like Trevi wrote:"is free of politics and troll fights " So we have a lots of fun here. And who else here has an "avowing bonkers tread"? Hello Ermin and Dirk both of you don't have the correct infos. There is a nice Ferrari magazine in Switzerland named "Scuderia" and it is NOT anymore a club magazine since more than two years. "Scuderia" started as a club magazine of the FCS. It started with a few hundreds of copies. The number of copies increased to 5.000ex., then 7.000ex and 8.000ex in the following years. Golf Events / Geneva bought "Scuderia" and published issue N 6 + 7, then "Scuderia" was luckily sold again to MSE (Motor Sport Edition). Issue N 8 has been published in July 2003 as a high quality magazine and highly respected in 12.000 copies. Most reports have been written in English, just a few in French. It was delivered to thousands of Ferrari enthusiasts in Switzerland, Germany, The Netherlands, the UK, Belgium and some other countries, also to some selected shops in Switzerland and some 5 star Hotels. Issue N 9 will be published by end of November 2003, N 10 in about May 2004.... ...by the way I have been involved to that magazine since the 1st issue and I became deputy editor since N 8. I take a few hundreds issues to Mugello where you can pick up a "Scuderia" Helmut Schnug [email protected]

Wolfgang, wow, I saw that show advertised, they say there will be over 20,000 guitars for sale. Unfortunately, I just found out Jennie and I are going to Kansas this weekend for her Uncles funeral. Please let me know if ever in the area, anyone. Many weekends we even have Ferrari events going on. If you can make it, try to hit Ferrari of Dallas. |

thanks rob! we give our best! and, as you can see, the european section is free of politics and troll fights :-) we only talk ferrari and bonker BS. of course we are pleased to support you in any way. in switzerland (for example) as a small country, one of the best ways is mouth-to-mouth marketing which i'm already practizing a lot. as far as i know, only a minor part of swiss ferrari owners are online in general, and a lot of them are already members of ferrarichat. of course many of the "Funky Ferrari Owners Switzerland" (FFOS). nevertheless switzerland has the highest density of ferrari owners per capita. as there is no swiss ferrari mag, a good way could be to go to the dealerships directly or do some event sponsoring/merchandising. let us know about your plans/budgets and we can work out some ideas. trevi |

Howdy Rob, thanks a lot for the compliment!!!!! "...Be passing Texas before too long" Hy buddy, whats up with you? No battle? No fight? You give up? Sure, that you are a real TEXAN??? Unimaginable for a real "Texan-Gun-Slinger" to give up;-) About advertisement in Europe: I will put a list together with all the German magazines I think it will worth it to advertise. I will send you the list (PM) at the end of next week. Sorry, can`t handle it faster. I`m on the way to fly this Friday to Arlington/TX (a smal city somewhere in Texas;-)))) No I`m not kidding. I`m over there doing some business over the weekend (Arlington Guitar Show). Maybe we can meet us for a drink at the Hotel bar? I will stay from Friday, 17.October till Monday 20. October in the WYNDHAM Hotel, 1500 Convention Center Drive (direct/beside the Convention Center), Arlington 76011. You can always get me over my mobil: +49 170-1647222. Its a tri-band and works. Wow, y'all (as we say in Texas) are really active! Be passing Texas before too long. I need to advertise more in Europe. Can everyone provide me contacts for Ferrari magazines and clubs I can advertise. I might need some help with translations though. I'll ban anyone that gives me a translation that really comes out to "My name is Rob Lay and I'm a geek and like Porsches." Thank you |
