Sebastian,

wow, long time ago we have seen you here on board.
What happened? Any news?
Maybe we can meet us at the end of the next week. I will drive to R.F. with the testarossa on Thursday or Friday.

thanks & sure we will see us next year.
Remeber the thread: Singel-Malt-Ferrari-Scotland-Tour..or something like this. This was another reason to buy the testarossa - can store more whiskey in this car;-)

@Ansgar, thanks a lot for you congrats

@Matthieu, I`m sure you have more experience with the 512TR / TR as I already have. I will very slowy and carefully try to get the feeling for the car...its another world. And the pedal to the metal, drive at the limit, go with 110% is already definitiv over since the tragical accident with Jens & Amar.
Yes, Im realy looking forward to drive a.s.a.p. thru a loooooooooong tunnel;-) This Tubi with testpipes is incredible to describe...I have never heard such such an EVIL sound.

Wouha,
It's very nice from you to propose me this !
In fact, I've already been in a 512TR, just on the right seat, but I had enough to feel already. It seems like the engine has no limit, the RPM increase with endless, the sound is absoulty magic, the brakes FABULOUS ! What else to say, except that I advice you to pass through a tunnel with the windows open, I had this chance once, and for sur it is a feeling you will never ever forget ;-)
Lucky you are, you made my next target to be a TR owner :-)
Take care to not over pass the limit of the car, because even if the care seems to be fixed on the road, when the back side starts to over take the front side, it is too late with a TR :-(
ENJOY your dream

Matthieu,

thanks you some much for your lovely post and congrats - also for coming back to the topic!

To be honest, I have only just driven 120 km with my new toy. Everything is still unbelievable for me. The sound is amazing, the power breath-taking.
There is no way to compare it with the feeling of an 8 cylinder or my other 308. Its just a different world.
Can`t describe it right now perfect, `cause its to new to me and still to emotional.

I would like to invide you on your next trip to Germany to make yourself an impression with a drive in my TR.

I know you (and your green monster) my dear friend. You needed:
1/2 hour to drink the 1. and to go to the garage and prepare everything.
1/2 hour..to drink the 2. beer and to think about: Should I realy spend my time with this useless washing procedure?
1/2 hour to drink the 3. beer and o.k. I will wash "IT" a bit.
1/2 hour to drink the 4. beer and to tidy up the garage.

there's a thread for you on the General discussion are...about washing your car.

We'll definitely have to organise a dinner here in CH either before or after new year.

Wolfgang
This sounds like an interesting puzzle to do.
In england I know a lot of people play with the way the letters and numbers look and sound so it doesn't have to be as obvious at TR512. For instance a T after the HD could also look like HOT. I'll try and think of some over lunch time, but with the first letters HD that might be hard. I once saw a plate 4COV on an Aston in england...took me a few minutes to work it out but it made me smile when I did
See ya
Simon
P.S.

Hi gents,

....need a little help from my friends (Joe Cocker).
I will register/retype the testarossa fom the pre-owner to my name.
In Germany we are happy to have the oportunity to choice our licence plate.

For example:

HD AB 123 or HD AB 1234

The first 2 letters are the area code for HEIDELBERG, I must take them.
The second 2 letters its on my choice
The digits, 3 or 4 is on my choice

Here are a few ideas. Please let me know what you think about or feel free for any other
combinations. Thanks my dear friends:

HD EF 512 (E F for Enzo Ferrari )
HD FE 512 (FE for Ferrari )
HD SF 512 (SF for Scuderia Ferrari)
HD TR 5012 (TR for Testarossa and 5 liter 12 cylinder
.I can not use HD TR 512 there is one who got this combination B4 me.

Any other ideas?

i have to confess that i'm some kind of jealous, not that i would like to have a TR, as i told you, that's the type of ferrari i like the fewest, but more in the sense that i'm eagerly waiting for my own 12 cyl project. hopefully next year during summertime i will be able to concretize my 365 gt4 bb plans......ummmmmmm...such a long time

concerning FFOS it looks like, but anyhow, andrea's ideas are, as always, good. we should definitely set up a date for a dinner, maybe in zurich or so. then we will see about our plans for next year.
of course, we have to count in the modena days at nino's.
