OBTW
It's amazing what a difference 17" wheels make on all of these Mondials - it's like it was made for them.

These are Speedline 17" with Bridgestone 215/50 front and 245/45 rear. Also has drilled Brembo rotors, tubi exhaust and 328 style Momo steering wheel. Have ordered a single distributor conversion, and may convert to 40dcnfs.
This is a great car and has been a daily driver on assignments in Germany and Virginia.

My 87 Mondial 3.2 has Simmons FR17 Wheels made in Australia by Simmons http://simmonswheel.com.au

I also use Yokohama Aspec db 225/45/17 tyres on the fronts, they are simply incredible, they have transformed the handling of my mondial compared to the Pirelli Asimetrico Pzeros that used to be on there, try them out you will be amazed.

The rims are 7.5-17, the tires are 235 and 245 rear Bridgestone RE 370. I put some spacers on the rear as well. No suspension modifications. I am thinking about the tacky stickers though.

Love the OEM co-pilot's Reccaro seat in contrasting vinyl...really keeps him (her?) in the seat on the twisties. You do this model justice!

What tires you got and did you increase the ground clearance or just the effect of the wheels or did you do (+1 -1) on the wheels, new springs?

Shame about the wheels. I supose you are changing yours for the same reason I'm contemplating mine. The ridiculous price of TRX tires.
What rims have you selected? What tires are you going to use on 17inch. The Mondial has 55 mm offset and the choice of after market rims very limited. Will also be very interested to know if you gain handling and low speed stearing improvements.

Mike:
I do not have 16 inch. Mine are TRX. But I can get you 16 inch aftermarket rims.

Thanks Rob, I guess I had a momentary lapse of reason, and should've checked there first. Anyway, thanks.

I need to contact Nick Scianna, does anyone have a number or email address, or is there a website. Any help would be appreciated.

Too bad my GT4 is up on jack stands in the garage now, we could've gone for a ride! Pop by in the summer, I know some good roads here in Langley! Did you drive it up Knox Mountain? We'll have our own hillclimb! It wouldn't be a bad idea to get something like that together for us Ferrari guys in the Northwest, during the hillclimb race in May. What do you think?
Once I get the motor out of my car, I'll have Nick do his magic on the cylinder heads, we've been coresponding quite a bit lately.
Have you been to ExpensiveCar.com today? Oh man are you in for a surprise!!

This is my 86 Mondial before I did any modifications to it. It will have aftermarket 17 inch wheels and the engine will have around 350 HP (done by Nick Scianna).
