I think its a Cooper of some sort. Maybe a Climax or an Elva? |

This is a tougher one. My first guess is that it is a BRM-F1 from the 1959~1961 era. I went through my Ferrari library and the closest Ferrari I see if front engined it may be a 553 Squalo or 246F1. Just not enough to pick details out. Try another? |

Thanks for all the input. This picture was taken at Watkins Glen in 1961 as noted in my earlier post. My father went to many races in the 50's and 60's and collected the programs. I have many of these pristine programs now. I agree with Lawrence, I believe it is a 250 GT LWB judging from the apparent length. I have seen some modifications to these cars over the years like adding a prancing horse to the front grill. |

There are apparently a lot of 250GT TdF's. More than I could imagine. There are some that look just like it, and then there are some that don't look like it at all. The 250GT TdF in Forza this month looks nothing like this car. But then the ones that you point out are very close looking to it, particularly the one that you pointed out. Then there is always the possibility that it is a one off. |

Hmm, Looks to be as Mike D. points out, a 250 LWB-tdf
but could still be a 250GT-Calif. This is fun .. ID the mystery F-Car. |

I would agree that it is a 250 GT tdf. Check out the Barchetta site for details. http://www.barchetta.cc/english/All.Ferraris/summary/Ferraris.Overview.55.59.htm Mike |

Yeah, it's close to a TdF (one of my favorite Fcars) but I think it is 250GT California like Lawrence said. If it isn't a 250GT C than it is definitely a spin off of it. It's hard to say without being able to see the rearend to well, but it does look like a LWB. It would be sweet to still have that car like that. Just think what it must have looked and sounded like out on the track. |

I tend to think this is a 250GT LWB California. Either the steel or aluminum bodied car. This car was produced from 1958~1960. 41 steel, 9 aluminum. It could be a SWB, but I can not see the side view well. |
