Hi John, Wish I was in AZ, but I'm in Wisconsin. The car is from CA via AZ. Slightly cooler here and a little more green right now, but too soon to be white! The pictures were right before I purchased the car and very well done so I just used them. I have service records from Southwest European, 8355 E. Raintree Drive, Scottsdale, AZ 85260 (480) 998-2480 www.sweuropean.com. They seem very, and I mean very, reasonable. And seemingly thorough and competent as the car runs like a top and is exceptionally clean right through the engine bay. I worked with Jerry Jones at Premier Auto (602) 694-5115. Give him a call and I am sure he would also keep his eyes out for you. Be prepared though, I looked in general for several years and quite intensely for over a year to find the right combination of color, mileage, condition and price. Many dead ends, but its a little easier if you pick a style, color and range of years to concentrate on and go from there. My personal opinion, for what its worth - the Mondial is a great takeoff on the 308, but is not a 308 in terms of looks, performance or resale. In the 308 with the Targa top off you get the same look and feel as a convertable with a lot less to worry about, "some" roll-over protection and a much more secure feeling in rain or cold. This is the same conclusion I have reached from owning several sports cars, GTs and convertables, over the years. It is also easily recognizable and appreciated as a Ferrari because of its Magnum PI connection. You simply would not believe the comments. Unless you really need the space or convertable aspect of the Mondial I would stick with the 308/328/348 series unless you can spend twice what they cost and then of course you have a lot more options. Best wishes and good luck in your quest. You will not regret it, whatever your choice. Any Ferrari will far exceed any other car you've ever owned in every important way! |

Hey Gene - I'm not an Ferrari owner yet, but am in the market. Are you in AZ, the pics look like my back yard. If you are in AZ, could I pick your brain about local mechanics and F cars in general? We are leaning towards a Mondial 3.2 cab. Thanks - John |

Thanks for the comments. I hope my typing improves - it is a 1979 despite my heading of 1978! |
