Sweet car... blacked out windows give it a nice touch... i used to envy Jordan 'til i found the kids in asia that are putting his sneakers together get paid pennies a day while his shoes sell for well over a hundred dollars... Can't deny, the man's got a hefty game, just not alot of class or compassion...

Chris N Chicago,

I have been to Bob Chinn as well. I agree with the excellent seafood. You need Mai Tai as well there!!

Patrick,

Thanks for the info. It's good to hear that they were willing to correct the issue without making you make them.

Markke,

I bought my 328 at LFSC. A few weeks after delivery I brought it back and complained that the car felt a little unstable at speed. They checked the alignment and said it was out a little but suspected the problem was that the tread pattern on the front tires was different from the rears. Before I purchased it they had replaced the front tires. Anyway, they replaced all four tires with new speed rated Bridgestones and did a full alignment. No charge.

Just bought my first one too. A 308 GTS. I live in southern Indiana and it looks like the closest place for service is in your part of the country. Where is the best place to go? Do you know of any better places farther south?

Also, if you have any Ferrari rallies or such, let me know.

James H,

What experiences have you had with LFSC?

Anyone else + or -?

Word has it that a 550 Barchetta arrived at Lake Forest Sportscars a while back and the buyer backed out of the deal. The car was serial number 23 (i.e. Jordan's old jersey number). Apparently they called Jordan and he bought it on the spot. Can't vouch for certain, but pretty reliable source told me this.

You know, Chris, this is my first Ferrari and before I bought it I looked for an active organization in Illinois for owners and didn't find anything. Perhaps we should start a mailing list or something for local owners to share tips, experiences, etc.

Don,

I do go to Continental. They are good on the service , but hard on the pocketbook. No complaints. They are right on Ogden and 294
perfect for you in Darien. Let me know if you
have any Ferrari rally's in Illinois. It would be fun!

You like Continental in Hinsdale for service Chris? (I think this is correct if my memory of prior posts serves). I just bought a 308 from a guy in Ohio and need a place to get it serviced here (I live in Darien).

Thanks for any suggestions.

Chris N Chicago,
I know one place that I would not recommend and that is Lake Forrest Sports Car.

Don - you're absolutely right. Michael "made his own space" right in front (with a car like that I don't blame him). A lot of seemingly pro players went into "Hoops" to play with him. This car got lots of looks from everyone as they walked in.

Best,
~Chris

Where were those pix taken? At Hoops on Randolph? You know, Michael owns part of the restaurant in the background - 160 Blue.

Hey a fellow Illinois person ! Where do you get your Ferrari done at? or are you a diy'er?

I used to live downtown and saw his 456 at Tavern on Rush a couple of times. He must have traded that in to get the 550 when it came out. I think he may have another F with MJ 23 for the plates.

ya, da Bulls used to own this town.
I'm surprised he didn't drive the Explorer to that neighborhood.

I ran into Scottie Pippen at a restaurant
called "Bob Chinn's" - you should try it
while in Chicago. Great seafood.

Chris N's probably seen this one around town. I'm in town working on a film for Dreamworks and Jordan showed up to play hoops with his friends across the street from our office. Nice Ferrari (even if he did nearly run us off the road!)

Enjoy
