Hey Les , Sounds Great !! I look forward to taking you up on your offer! I am very familiar with Wynnewood, I went to Villanova and work in the area occasionally. 420? Is that the 360 Replacement?

Also agree with you on the 6speed. Had both a coupe and spider 360F1, and got rid of both. Ended up with a 6speed spider. |

Hey Vernon, was reading thru this older thread and saw your comment about never having driven a 550. You're in Cherry Hill, I'm in Wynnewood, PA. Anytime you want to try my 550 (yellow/gray; PA tag "BEAST") let me know. FYI, I'm also awaiting an early 420. Ciao, Les |

No at the time of the picture I had both but I sold the SL500. The SL 55 didn't come out until 6 months after the non AMG version so I had both for about a month |

You will fall in love bro... BTW, why do you have two cars that are nearly the same? Is one your wifes or something? |

Hey Mr 0011, I hope to get an "early" one of whatever is replacing the 360, although I am going to get a 360 Spider and keep it for a while regardless. I have not driven a 550 or 575. I am afraid I will fall in love .

Vern... do u think you'll get the 360's replacment...? BTW, my friend has almost the same kind of Modena... black w/ F1 system... but his interior is black w/ red stiching... He wants to sell it though, and get a Maranello... Have you driven the 575m? Oh wait... we gotta stay on topic... ummm... Nice car!! ;) |

Des I think we have just change the thread. To answer your question. I have never had any problem 4,000+ miles, but I think it is to much of an automatic feel. It is a little more complex than the system on the SL 55 but is still very automatic like. My personal opinion is the Manual is the way to go. |

Why not...? If i'm being nosey, just brush me off- i only ask 'cause i'm somewhat intrigued and afraid of F1 transmissions, all at the same time... Intrigued, because, well... It's still manual, but it's a different form... Afraid because... well, because it's still manual but it's a different form... How long have you had it...? Any problems...? |

Hey Des, I think they call it Tobacco. I bought the car used, I was searching for a paddle shift car but my next car will be a Manual. I personally like the paddles but I don't think I will get another |

Vernon, what are they calling that, nowadays...? Tobacco...? Mocha...? Why can't they just call it dark tan...? It looks nice... Just out of curiosity, if you don't mind my asking, why'd you get the F1 over the "sickspeed" manual...? |

Hey Guys , the black is great but I love every color I see on the F-cars. I am a Mercedes fan, great cars and the SL 55 as an eveyday rider is a beast! Des the interior is dark Tan. |

Vernon, very sweet... i agree, black is a no-nonsense color... i would just assume that the interior is black, too, but your second-to-last picture shows what appears to be a rather light-colored steering wheel... Is it a different color than the exterior...? MerceDES...? What MerceDES...? |

Nice pics, I have always thought that black makes F-cars come across with a no nonsense attitude. Definitely a statement! |
