Last pics I've found at this time... Engine and Trans assembled and ready to drop back into the chassis. On some of the real old cars it was easier to pull and install them as one unit.
Notice the tiny exhaust pipes and the steel adapter used to hook Ferrari 12's to american Dyno's.

A few more... Dyno running to break in the engine, seat the rings, tune, and then full throttle pulls to determine HP output.
Bench running the engine to check for leaks or anomolies before it goes on the Dyno.
Completely redone Crank, like new again.

I also serviced his other Ferrari's at the time. Posting what photos I have found so far: Carefully and skillfully adding to the piston cutouts because Higher Comp. Pistons are being fitted, after some prechecking.
If you notice the light colored spots all over the block, these are some of the welding before the remachining takes place, notice everything is stripped down, including removal of all studs and cylnder liners.
After 30+ years of use the Block looks like a good candidate for a boat anchor, but Old Ferrari's never die, and with extensive reworking this old engine will live to run in anger again!
