Doc- that color thing- is that a personal preference or is that a general rule or practice among multiple-Ferrari owners...?

Pete-- all the more reason why if i ever own more than one Ferrari, the 360 will be my first choice when the weather's bad... :-)

DES, Willis is safer in the rain as his car has ABS, TC and other computer goodies. I, on the other hand must be careful as I don't have anything to bail me out if I push too hard (and its easy with a '70's mid-engine car to push too far).

Different story on dry roads...

DES

No, never own the next car for the same color as you owned previously.

I would go with Titanium/grey on 575M and it will be with F1; and Blue Tour de France with tan with either blue piping or Daytona stripes on the seats on 360 spyder :-)

DES,

I like them both. Long ride I like Maranello and short winding road I like F1 on the 360.

I guess my next pair of cars will be 360 Spyder F1 and 575M F1 :-)

Got pretty wet and dark when we headed out toward Snoqualmie Falls for the last leg of the drive. Then it was foggy in spots on the way home. Didn't really push the cars all that hard but we all had fun.

I hope the weather will cooperate next Saturday, after the dyno session, so we could really enjoy the cars.

I know my plate is showing DES...

It rained a bit during the day. It absolutely drenched on the 405 heading back home to Canada. With the wipers on double-speed, they barely kept up... As soon as I got on the 5 though, the skies were clear and bright blue...

Thanks, DES! I like it too. :-) Great pix, Peter and Doc!

The 360's all dirty again after those pictures were taken (we went for a fun drive). I'm sure all of us will have some cleaning to do tomorrow.

Peter- awesome pictures...! i like the top one better as it shows the fronts of all the cars- the 360 looks tremendous in black- that car is 100% attitude... These pictures are exceptional (at least for me, anyway), 'cause black is my favorite color (or shade) and in every picture, there are clouds overhead- there's just so much character and emotion in those shots- just like the initial ones that the Doc posted...

Psssst... By the way... Your plate is showing in the pictures...

Doc, when i first came here (FC), i was told i should join, but one financial responsibility after another continues to make me put it on the back burner... Someone even posted a link to a website at my request, so i could join on line- i just haven't had the opportunity, yet... When i do, though, i'll certainly be looking into attending all sorts of events...

On another note- which do you enjoy more- the 360 or the 550...? Or have i asked you that, already...? (i have such a horrible memory...)

DES, that's the parking lot of the Newcastle Golf Course country club south of Bellevue. This was after the Jon Shirley tour today...

Notice how my GT4 was absent from the first few photos?... I was trying to catch up to the others and so I shot across the Hwy to the carpool lane. Just then I noticed everybody getting off at the immediate exit! Damn!!! We tried getting back, got lost, asked for directions and a nice couple led us to the course...

Here's my shots of the "Black-Ferrari Owners Club" gathering :

DES,

I think you need to join local Ferrari club. You don't have to own a Ferrari to join.

I am sure you can attend local events such as "Hampton Rally" or Long Island ride, etc.

There are great event that Ferrari Long Island and Ferrari of New England put together. Just check their web-site: www.ferrarilongisland.com

I am sure you will have fun :-)

I used to live in Manhattan, New York too

Oh, man, those are some sweet pictures, thanks for sharing... :-)

What parking lot is that...? If i pulled in somewhere to park and saw all those Ferraris parked in a row like that, i think i'd lose control of my functions...

Dr. Shelbee,

Those are beautiful pics. Can you email me the top pic of the 550 and Daytona (with the building in the background) in a larger jpg format? Say, 1600X1200?

Good Doctor,
I have only a 97 550. The 2000 550 was de-tuned to 476 hp to meet certain smog requirtements.

Hey guys, lets try and go for a record of black Ferraris!

At the upcoming Jon Shirley tour, why don't we get the Dr's and Willis' cars, plus Brian L's Daytona, JMG's Mondial and my GT4 lined up in the parking lot. Sound cool?

The pictures really show the different tensions and lines in the shape of both cars - different characteristics are enunciated, but rarely do you see a comparison like this. Very sharp.

Awesome pictures, guys. Both cars look stunning, but I am continually impressed with how sharp the 550 is in black. Any more closeups?

And yes, there is somethign special about a black car in the wet... :D

DES, thanks for your positive comment :-)

I did not want to drive it at first, but I thought about it, screw it. I washed it soon I get home and nice and clean again now.

I noted 360 has better acceleration than my 550, but my car is a lot faster with 89 more HP (485HP) from the 360 (396 HP)

We will do it again sometime.

We had a blast today!!

Doc... Awesome pictures... i hate driving in the rain, but the black cars combined with the wet streets and gloomy sky give all the pictures an air of mystique... Very nice, in my opinion... Add in the fact that there aren't any people in any of the pictures... In fact, the only things in the pictures are the cars, some buildings and some background scenery... No other cars (except for that middle picture), no people, nothing- Very nice pictures of two very awesome cars... Thank you... Have you considered making a photo album...? Has anyone considered that...?
