Wyatt, the ferrari site has not been updated so it might have been last year 2002. DB, got your e-mail. Did not get a chance to reply yet. |

Haha, you actually had me going on the Miata thing. I was thinking "Are Ferrari owners actually unaware of other cars???". At least you surprised me for better. Where are you picking it up? I assumed Ferrari of Seattle, but flying to Sea-Tac from, uhh, Sea-Tac doesn't make the most sense. California or something? Are you than driving it home from wherever you get it? Sounds awesome. |

Wyatt, Off course I heard about zoom zoom Miata I was just kidding when I wrote that. Fly in next Saturday to view and test drive the spider and take delivery the same week. Excited about this. I will take photos for Ferrari on 12th. |

Hmm. I checked the Ferrari site a little while back, and it said it was on June 23. We were going to incorporate that into the meet, but it was on a Monday, so we didn't. Well, I guess that ruined our original plan! I also guess I won't be going if it's on the same day as the O.S. meet. Be sure to take pictures for me! The Miata is a roadster made by Mazda. Base price: $25,000. It's your kind of car, right? Perfect expense. Ok, well since Germans are aloud, the AMG will fit!!! If not, I can walk from across the street! When do you anticipate for the Spider?? Take care. |

It is my buddy's 1997 528 actually. He is a married man and not care too much about an expensive car. He just wanted a bimmer. Miata?? What is it? Is it a brand name of instant noodle?? or the name of Japanese TV reporter?? No, no Japs cars in my driveway, only Italians, and Germans They can be on the side of the street though BTW Ferrari on 12th is on Sunday 6/22. I am confirmed to get the silver spider, got the better deal for the better car and better after sale service for sure. |

If I had to guess, I would say that was an M5. The front spoiler/ground effects are not clear enough to make an educated guess though! Is it a 540? (You two should join us at Ocean Shores ) |

Silver is certainly classier, titanium just had more jazz. Both appealing. I was trying to go to Ferrari on 12th as well, but my dad works on Monday and it's looking doubtful. Perhaps I will find a friend to take me, in which case I will see your car! We were originally going to do Ferrari on 12th as part of our meet, but the day messed that up. Kuzi too said he would be missed it due to being out of town. Looks like a sole M Power, AMG meet! Take care! Oh yeah, would a Miata fit better in your driveway? |

Wyatt, I think I will go with silver spider. Something about silver that I like in the convertible. I had a 996 silver cab I really like. In regards to Ocean shore drive, there will be Ferari on the 12th. Supposed to have about 40 F-cars showed up like last year. I think I want to go and comparing the cars to others. Who knows the ENZO might show up ??? I think you should not miss once in a life time opportunity for this one. In regards to my driveway, right now only reserved for my G wagon, not to other MB cars, sorry I have got my friend's 5 series behind, did you see that??

Shelbee: I apologize for being persistent on the Ocean Shores meet, but do you sound interested at all? I know I've said this before, but I would absolutely LOVE having your Ferrari(s) there! Take care, Wy |

Both tempting in their own ways... I'll probably have to side with Titanium. Are positive about getting gray leather? Seems a little plain for a Ferrari! Speaking of your driveway... Does it fit any Mercedes besides for your G-Class??? Hah! |

Yeah, I am proud of my garage and huge driveway. I will have everyone over to watch F1 racing someday. My driveway fits 8 Ferraris

Tough call between silver and titanium though.
Leaning toward silver, but for sure either one will get to my garage by the end of this month

Tough call. Both are extremely well layed out rear ends, but I think the silver end wins by a little. Shelbee, when do you expect to get your Spider? Are you getting new or used? Having it shipped or buying from Ferrari/Seattle? You will have the nicest garage in the Puget Sound region, hands down! |

Just spent the weekend breaking in the new tubi exhaust on my spyder.......Noel, I definitely like it. Makes the auto sound like a F-car should sound........I'm not sure if its just me but I believe this tubi is not quite as loud as the one I had on the coupe..........which I don't mind at all. I think that tubi has 2 exhaust options for the 360.....one is a "quiet" version and the other is even LOUDER. It also seems to feel quicker also, with faster throttle response. |

That is the challenge grill......used on all Ferrari challenge autos. It is perforated as opposed to the standard body panel....It allows for more engine cooling and ventilation.......because that engine does get quite warm! |

What designation does the black material surrounding the tail lights incline?? I used to think it was F1 vs 6spd, than that proved wrong, than I thought model year, that too was wrong... Now I have no idea... So what does it mean?? Beautiful looking car. I love it. |

Kuzi, My car is red with tan interior. Black upper dash, red carpet, and a fire extingushisher, challenge grill, red calipers, shields, terrible becker radio(hate that thing). Here in chicago there are a few active guys but not that many(i'm sure there are many more that I just don't know about), but I'm also just now getting more invovled, so I'm sure i'll meet others. |

I'll try to keep it out of traffic.........only drive it on weekends anyways......What color is your interior Noel? mine is rossa corsa/tan with shields, red calipers, black stitching and inserts on power daytonas, upgraded stereo, rear challenge, the auto had modular wheels but I had them put the standard wheels back on. imho, mods look to busy for the spyder. oh and its a 6 spd. We just started up a Modena club here in the Seattle area and so far we've got roughly 10 registered. You guys have a good group over there? |

i like it, but sometimes it is very loud...in general it's a do. there is no difference between the coupe and spider version, the spider just says so on it. i love the sound when you hit the gas, but when you are in traffic and don't want it to be loud there is no escape...but then, i don't have a 575 |

Also is there a difference between the Tubi for the coupe and for the spyder besides just the insignia on the muffer? |

All I know is that under 4000rpm the spyder is way too quiet for my taste.........it has almost a "sewing machine" whine to it! Noel, how do you like it with just the Tubi? Is it toooo loud? I had a Tubi in my previos 360 coupe and loved it. I don't plan on driving these things for hours upon hours at a time.......I have the 575M for that! Just around the city and out into the mountains. No more than a few hours at a time. In the coupe it was definitely tolerable, oh and that Sound!!........just wondering about the spyder........oh well its probably too late the Tubi goes in tomorrow! |

Kz, I have a tubi, and it's loud, esp. in a spider. I would suggest the tubi alone first, and then if you don't mind the resonance, rip off the cats. if you do take off your cats, let me know how you like it. ps...i think all of the guys on this board that have the 360/tubi/test pipe combo drive the coupe, what you and I need is someone with a spider to tell us how it is. there is a huge difference in my car with top up vs. top down and I have to believe that the coupe is much quieter(?) than the spider. |

with the "cats off", does the tubi in the 360 sound louder? and what is the significance of having test pipes? I'm having a tubi installed in my spyder tomorrow and was just curious. |

I have a Tubi on my 360 and also have the "cats" off. The sound alone is worth the purchase! Also, the Tubi is so pretty it is worth polishing! |
