Here's another one I just completed for "Dr. Erik". For more info, see my new website at www.helmet-painting.com The "hobby" continues to grow... and I really enjoy doing them.

C.C.: I'm in Huntsville, AL, so it's only 1 day UPS from Atlanta. Feel free to email me pics of your helmet, and any design and/or color changes you have in mind. By the way, you can see some notes on what I do at www.fca-se.org/helmet/ By the way, did you mean Blowsion rather than Blowvision? They do good work... For me, it's more of a hobby and an expression of art rather than a major business, and I give each one a lot of personal attention... I enjoy it. I can tell you that I'd probably be at least $100 lower priced than Blowsion for the same design and get it done faster, as I had them quote me on painting my helmet (the red Schumi-ish one at the bottom of the page) and their price was $475 with anywhere from a 3 to 8 week turnaround. The price was ok but I didn't want to wait that long, so I took my motorycle tank painting skills and equipment out of hibernation (it had been about 10 years) and decided to do it myself. Now I'm doing that style helmet for $375 with a 2 to 3 week turnaround inhouse. In any case, I appreciate you giving me the opportunity... if you've already gotten a quote from Blowsion, take $125 off as my price. mike308: I'm still doing them, I just forgot to renew the ad... the FCA news runs it for only 2 months at a time. It should be in the next issue again.

Mike C---where do you live? I was about to send my old helmet off to Blowvision to be copied to a new one but I will send you my design for a quote. |

Very cool... looks like you're starting to do quite a few neat looking ones. Nice! BTW, saw your ad in the FCA News Bulletin last month (but not the current issue?) |

Here's an open face helmet I just did. Black, highlighted with pearl paints, including a chameleon pearl pattern on the sides that changes from red to bronze to green depending on the angle of the sunlight, though it shows up as kind of purple in the first picture because of the camera flash. In real life, it's much more subtle than in the photograph.

Mike Charness, you emailed me not too long ago, but i crashed and lost everything that was open; thanks for the email, i've been meaning to get back to you, but have been pretty busy... i've yet to acquire a helmet but me and a "friend" are working on it... When i do, i'll certainly look for you... Thanks again... |

Mike308 -- yes, here's an example of an open face design I just did. You can "sketch" your own by going to www.fca-se.org/helmet.htm

I like that! Do you have a similar design for an open face helmet? |

Bell M3/Pro Kevlar helmet freshly painted to match my car for track days... seems like a pic belongs here in the Showroom. More details about it are in this thread including instructions on how to paint your own!
