Peter, A saddle pad with the scuderia shields is a thought! His temperment is such that he never rears, so getting him to prance is out. I'll try to get a picture of the two cavallinos in the pasture. Barry |

Barry, how about putting some scuderia shields on the saddle and put it on the Governor? Or, drape a big Ferrari towel on its back? Come to think of it, why not have him do the Ferrari prance and take a photo when he does it? He certainly has the right body color. |

Back in the late 70's early 80's my dad had 27 quarter horses and thoroughbreds that we raced almost every weekend. Lots of time in a pickup on way to st louis, new mexico, kentucky etc. Don't think we ever made any money racing, but stud fees paid well. My uncle owns a stud farm in oklahoma. |

Verrrry beautiful!!! A picture of a 308GTB and Mr. Governor would make a splendid background, and all-around picture! |

Mr. Governor is a Thoroughbred and is 19 now. He raced until age 9. He was a "sprinter," running in 6 furlong races. Sometimes he still goes into race mode which can last a half mile or so. I just go with it. It's in his genes. Quarter horses can actually hit 46 MPH. Peter, the next time I take the Ferrari out to the stable, I'll get a picture of both, as you suggested. It would make a nice picture. Tom, the magnetic shields don't stick on him. Thank you all for the compliments. He'll appreciate them. Barry |

The fastest Kentucky Derby winner ran about 37.5 MPH using my math (which isn't very strong). Giving that race is a 1.25 race it easy to believe that a quarter horse could do 42MPH. Damn is right. I always figured horses at about 30MPH. |
