I'm coming to the Seattle area July 7-12. I've posted something in the Northwest Section
http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/1121/276860.html?1056584576
so if anybody knows about activities during that week, please respond there.

Kent,

Yes, all of us who did the drive are in the NW- FCA Club, but this drive wasn't listed on our calendar. Since you are a member too, you should join the Club's "local chat" email list so you will be aware of informal drives, etc.. The instructions on how to sign up are listed in the Club's newsletter.

I live in Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island. I own a 3.2 Mondial Spider. Was this a Ferrari Club Northwest event? I would have loved to come see the art rolling down our backroads. It looks like it was lots of fun.

Mike,
During extremely low tides it could be a problem. But that is a rare occurance. The ramps angle down to the boat, the lower the boat, the more extreme the angle. I have never even worried about it in my previous 308 GTS or my current 328...If it was a huge concern, just check the tide tables

We had a 348 and a Testarossa in the group. The spoilers on those cars were very low. They didn't seem to have trouble at the ferry and I didn't hear any scraping. The ferry workers were pretty good in directing our cars to prevent scrapes.

Hey, is there any problem getting a 308QV with the long euro spoiler into or out of the Seattle ferry boats without scraping?

In case you guys are interested, here some info about the Lambo we saw. This website says it's "The rarest production Lamborghini ever made."

You forgot about Randy and Barbara in his 328GTS. He wasn't able to get out of Langley in time to follow us to Steve's place. The poor guy real missed out!

You forgot Randy's 328. That makes 12 Ferraris.

We really had a wonderful unexpected surprising run :-) ENJOY.

We had 11 Ferraris total:
2 - 360 Spiders, 2 - 360 Modena coupe, 2 - 355 Spiders, 1 Testarossa, 1 348 Spider, 3 - 308 GTS

with 4 Steve's Ferraris: Dino, 512i BB, 330, Daytona and 1 Lambo Sillouette

Dave's 348 is too low to park in the same spot with the rest of us. At this is a good reason to be alone, not because of simply wanting to park in the shades :-)

I too was blown away by the hospitality shown by Steve and his generosity in bringing out his collection and allowing some of the club members to drive them down to the field for pictures. I was fortunate enough to drive the black 330 GTC down AND back. Big wheel, slow steering, a sweet gear box and of course the best part, a V12.
The Grifo that Steve showed up in was a cool and sounded fabulous (small block Chevrolet) as I followed him for a while back to his estate.
To think I was going to mow the lawn Saturday!

Still recovering from sun burn on my face :-(

I will post them tomorrow. Need to shrink the size to 640 from 1500 high resolution and change from TIFF to JPG.

Everyone gets the CD of 60 photos untouched from my 6.3 mega pixel Nikon D100 camera

At least I did one as a prelude :-)

OK- Doc. I'm home... I thought that you would have posted some pictures of today's event by now. LOL!

I would post some, but I didn't bring along my camera. I'll let you tell list about the adventure all of us had today. I still can't believe that I got to drive Steve's Daytona and his Dino! What a cool place!
