Clutch warning sound?
I've owned my 360 F1 for a year now and have no idea what you're talking about. What does it warn? What do you do to make it warn?

And... there's an adjustment for the F1 to tailor it to the driver? Any details on what things can be adjusted or what driver behavior they adjust for?

Hey Jason,

Your car is older than mine by a month.

I agree that the F1 have to be tailored to the individual driver. My car, like yours, would jump at a slight touch of the throttle before I had it adjusted. Twice I heard that annoying clutch warning sound at the dealership when they move my car around the shop during the checkups. I've only manage to set it off once on my first week of ownership.

The scuff marks on the aluminum interior trims can be taken out by using a metal lubricant like WD-40. Use very small amount to wipe off and quickly follow by a spritz of water. Do not let the lubricant linger because the odor might stay in the car.

Jason, very very cool.

BTW, isn't the Auto Mode for when the wife becomes the designated driver?

Mark....

Actually here is something I prepared a little earlier -:).....it was actually a review for a website....It's a little long, but hey....indulge me!!!!

Jason

I took delivery of my 360 F1 in March (2001). It was my first Ferrari, for that matter, its the first sportscar Ive ever owned. The car arrived in a great fanfare of a transporter, prancing horses snarling all over it FANTASTIC!!!!!. I had no idea that I could grin so ridiculously, but the photographic evidence doesnt lie.
I had the delivery man drive the car into my parking space, my first experience of a Ferrari was NOT going to be reversing it. In truth, the car sat parked for two days before I drove it; it's hard to explain just how intimidating of a vehicle it really is. Most people reading this article will undoubtedly think, what an idiot, Id just get in the car and drive. Trust me, when you have spent this amount of money on a car, there is pause for thought.

I took the car out for the first time on a bright and sunny day (yeah, like its ever coming out in the rain). Turning the key and having the car volcanically erupt behind your ear isnt sensational, its life changing. It wasnt long before I had my first mishap though, the car has the shape of a block of cheese, slim and manageable upfront, and somewhat fat an unwieldy at the back..Yep, 10 minutes into the drive I rimmed the rear wheel on a curb. I called the dealer, explained that I thought we would be embarking on a long and expensive relationship together, to which his reply was.if I had a Pound for every time a customer takes delivery of their car and rims.Hey, it made me feel better and 24 hours (and £100) later the car was perfect again

Several months have passed now, and I genuinely feel that I am able to give an honest review of the 360 Its amazing, no really its AMAZING. Firstly, the well documented F1 transmission..If I read one more article about the lack of smoothness, or the clutch not being up to the job. The box needs to be set up for you individually (it took four attempts before I was happy). I initially had great bursts of power with even the smallest movement of the accelerator, not to mention the MOST annoying beeping noise (to warn of imminent clutch meltdown) whilst carrying out the most basic three point turn. Today, I am glad to say, no such problems. The F1 box is a lot more than paddle flicking, the throttle also directly affects the clutch engagement, in essence there is technique involved which I am pleased to say I have mastered. No beeping, perfect starts from standstill, smooth gear changes. The F1 box when set up correctly is tremendously exiciting, fun and flattering, it also works properely, so dont believe the reviews from the had the car for the weekend jouranlists..The only room for improvement with the F1, is the auto mode. Its so basic and inept at interpreting what you want to do that frankly I dont see why they included it.

Youve probably realised from the above that I am not the worlds greatest high performance driver, so I cant tell you how the car handles on the edge, in truth, I wouldnt know the edge, even if I reached it. The steering and poise of the 360 is so far and away from anything I have driven before (Jag, Mercedes etc.) that any comparison is pointless. I think the best way to describe it is brave. No matter how much courage I gather on entering a corner the car is more than a match for it. The smallest adjustment applied to the steering wheel is dutifully mimicked on the road, yet the car never feels twitchy or overly light. As for the speed of a 360, well its vision blurringly fast. It will satiate even the heartiest of need for speed appetites.

If I could change anything, what would it be? Well, I have two little pet peeves. Firstly, the aluminimum inside the car is an absolute scratch magnet; look at it the wrong way and it permanently marks. It either needs to be changed out, or have a protective coating applied. Secondly, forget the golf clubs behind you pitch by Ferrari to illustrate what a friendly daily driver the car is. trunk access is where its at!! The trunk switch only operates if the car is on, so primairy trunk opening is the domain of the pulley cable under the dash. Go on Ferrari, show me how progressive you are, put a trunk opening button on the alarm remote!!

Jason,

Nice wheels, let us know how she drives!

That's assuming of course you manage to peel your hands away from the wheel to put them on the keyboard.

Actually it is 'standard' Ferrari red.....It just has a HUGE amount of polishing....It's LHD because my wife is American and I am pretty sure that I, my wife & my car will be heading Stateside in the not too distant future.....

The transporter is a work of art in itself....That photo was the day the car arrived!!!!I was grinning like an idiot for hours....I added the resin wing shields afterwards....I actually prefer the resin shields to the enamel ones...they aren't quite so 'heavy' looking

Jason:
Nice car and color (candy apple?).
Why did you choose to have the steering wheel on the left side?
