There was a topic about that. Can't find it now. Ask Steve or Peter. They probably know.

I have the parts and workshop manual but you still have to test a bit with special washers to get the right height after its put in. Not a big deal as you have access from outside. As to the quality of the material. Mine had to be send to the US to a special shop for rpm above 6,000.

Christian,

What information did your mechanic need to be able to rebuild your clutch? I hear that the exact specifications of a brand new clutch are required. If you have to search for information like this, where did you get it from? I am planning to rebuild the clutch for my TR when the time comes as well.

Thanks.

I feel the biggest problem with a TR is that if you need parts fast then you have to pay a lot of money. For example: My TR needed a new clutch:

1. The dealer could have done it in 2 days and charged me USD 4,000

2. TR rutlands sell them for USD 1.450 plus 250 for the throughout bearing

3. I rebuild mine for USD 800 (inc. labour to a local mechanic) which took me 4 weeks to get all the parts etc. etc.

I am also having an electromotive system installed over the winter as I feel that the ignition system (same as in your 328) is a barrier for a smooth and strong running engine.

Another weak point is the transmission/differential , so I bought a used one, have it rebuild and whenever I need it, it's there. You can get all the parts you need for the TR used from ebay for a fraction of the cost as a new parts.

Driving in the TR is fantastic, a 12 is so much different than a 8, the car looks great, handles perfect, is very easy (!) to drive.

Christiank, I would like to buy another Ferrari to make company to my 328 :-)
I thought of buying a 355 but the testarossa I like very much too.
My friends tell me not to buy a testarossa.
With the experience you have with yours could you advise me? What are the pros and cons of the testarossa?

Santos:

Great car, great area. Have been to your area in 95 and staid at the Sheraton Algarve. Great place to stay, nice people there, we (my wife and me) just loved it, still remember the nice old jewish guy we met at the golf course who had his arms tattooed from the Auschwitz concentration camp. All his family members died there! Can you believe that! I am drifting away. Portugal is a great country,

Weiner,
LOL
Now I understand. That is not a highway. That is the end of a very nice road in the mountains with hard ups and downs, rights and lefts all the time.
I enjoy driving my 328 over there.
Have you have been to Algarve?
Have a look, this is where I live

Santos,
What my lame attempt at comedy meant was in your pic of the 328 on the highway there was no driver and it looked to me like it was driving itself.
Not meant to demean your lover.

Weiner,
What do you mean? I don't cach it :-(
If it is a joke.... my 328 is neither a remote control nor a driver necessary... it is just my loving companion lately.
Sometimes I see myself sitting around the car and admiring it, hours on end and never get tired.
I have 15 cars at the moment but never felt the same with others.
IS THIS LOVE?

Beautiful pix.
I have a nice radio in my car too, but hardly ever use it. As you know, The 308 engine sings like an italian opra.

Hi,

Your car looks great.

I really like the sprayed skirt at the front - I've been thinking of doing that to mine, along with the side skirts , targa roof etc - hadn't thought about the wing mirrors though ummm I can't decide.

Cheers

Steve
