DJ, Hope you enjoyed those videos. You'd need to thank Eric Hawley for them.

DJ, Click below to get to Eric Hawley's site. He has 2 videos of the F1 car start up and running. Make sure you turn up the sound. :-)

Wish I would have stayed until 2:45 when they fired up one of the F1's on jacks and ran it through the gears.

Bugatti is definitely a Type 57 (only model whose radiator is a "fake" - this rad is just a shell. In fact, the grilles can open and close by thermostatic control).

Production of all cars seased in 1939, the Type 57 was the last production model.

Great pics DJ... I love those two Bentleys!

I misidentified the Bugatti as a Royal. I checked the shot I had of the window placard and it looks like it says type 57 (bad picture). There was a Royal at the races here a few years ago, same color though larger.

Wayne,

You're right. The Bugatti is a Type 57 I think.

The Royale is massive. It looks like so...

I'm not sure what that Bugatti is, but it's not a Royale (type 41) and I doubt that it's a 1937 model of any kind. Besides, the Royales were produced from 1927-1931. Although this car looks like it's from the same period, there were so many different coachbuilders that it would take some effort for me to narrow down exactly which model this is (type 44? 46? 49?).

1928 Bentley 6.2 Barker Boattail. This car is so long I couldn't get it in one shot. My guess about 130 or 140" wheel base. It doesn't float or fly even though it looks like it should.

A parting shot of the killer Carrera Mexico. It has three of the largest twin throat carburetors I have ever seen. Touted as being one of Carrol Shelby's favorites, (from what I heard).
