Thanks Eric, thank you for your kind words. I am basically in love with my car...and any like it! I think your car looks fantastic in that color and with those wheels. I still think 308s are some of the most gorgeous cars on the road today. |

Congratulations, Robert & Mitchel, on your recent 308 purchases! By the way, Mitchel, that's one great looking 308 you have there -- I really like the contrast between the black with tan interior! Finally owning your first Ferrari is a great feeling, isn't it? Almost like a second honeymoon :-) I'll never forget that day I drove it home from the local dealer -- I was literally numb the whole ride -- what a rush! The more I explore the 308, the more apparent it becomes that Ferrari's are truly a solid work of art, design, and engineering. These 308's were way ahead of their time! |

I wonder if Magnum knows how many young kids he influenced with that red Ferrari. I never missed an episode! I just purchased my first (this assumes I will purchase more) Ferrari in June. I too had to check my garage - in the middle of the night no less - to be sure I wasn't dreaming. I have been reading Ferrarichat for awhile and will have my share of questions also. Right now I am just happy to be one of the "blessed" Ferrari owners. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine. p.s. I still have to go peek under the car cover at least once a week.......just to be sure. |

Eric - I know what you mean by the whine of the engine; I have a Fuel Injected 308 also, and sometime when cold, at idle it sounds just like a turbine engine! |

Eric! Mazol Tov! That is one gorgeous 308!! I love how those wheels look too. I too just bought an 84 308 GTS QV over Memorial Day and have never been happier. It is a wonderful car. I just love it. Check out my profile to see my baby. I am insane about my car. What a gorgeous car you have!! |

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and kind compliments on my "new" prancing horse! Can't wait to get home this evening and tinker on her some more. I have to pinch myself everytime I open the garage, just to be sure it's not a dream. You're right about the stares from fellow motorists. I was almost frightened by the number of cars that would surround me and gawk; but, then again, I used to do the same thing. I still can't get over the sound of the engine -- especially when decelerating! It's almost like a cross between a race car and a jet engine. After tinkering tonight, I'm sure to have some questions -- and will post them tomorrow. Thanks again! |

Eric, you'll find this site (its more of a home actually) extremely helpful and entertaining. I've learned a tremendous amount from this place. Great looking car. Drive it and shift in the 4000-5000 range and you fall in love again and again. All the looks a Ferrari gets isn't bad either. Welcome to the F-car world! Greg |

Great looking 308, I really like the color. My first Ferrari was a 78 GTB, I loved it and I'm sure you will enjoy yours. Welcome and Congrats! |

Hello fellow Ferrari enthusiasts... Thought I'd introduce myself and join-in on the discussions. I've been following the conversations and admiring the photos in the different topic groups for some time now, and must say that you are all a great group of people. Ever since I became fixated with the 308 while watching "Magnum PI" as a young teenager, I've dreamed of some day owning one. That day finally came, and I finally was able to purchase a 1985 Ferrari 308 GTSi QV. Here's a few pictures taken a couple weeks after she arrived home.
Needless to say, since this is my first Ferrari, I'll be full of questions along the way. Thanks for letting me be a participant. |
