Nice article on the "t". I like the cab forward look/feel it fits my driving style. Suspension: Soft is for the long straight road, real comfy. Medium is auto mode. The suspension adjusts automatic to the road condition but not at extreme. Hard is extreme stiff. Good for the fast twisty roads. Tire pressures will determine the final handling set-up for your driving style.

I must say that the t's re-shaped air intakes benefit the Mondial's exterior appearance (let alone losing the wraparound bumpers) which makes for a *sweet*, cab-forward, aggressive stance that is light-years removed from earlier incarnations of the Mondial - what can I say? I'll skip over the t's appreciable gains in power (almost 100 hp over introductory US models) and interior upgrades which are documented e.g.: http://www.qv500.com/ferrarimondialp4.htm - and focus on the handling/feel/appearance: How would you describe each setting's upsides and downsides? Soft / Medium / Hard |

Hi Thomas, that shot was taken at start/finish line at California Speedway in Ontario California. During the FCA International meet 2002. Participated in the week long gathering that included 2 days on the Road Course. Yes I was on firm suspension mode for the 2 days. The Mondial t surprised alot of people. It battled well with the other F-cars. The most fun I've had driving so far!

The posted July 31 shot (taken at speed) is quite an aggressive stance compared to what I normally see of Mondial pics. That due to perfect place/time for pic and/or suspension set to firm? |

Allen: Being honest: I was shaking quite a bit after pushing the TR under those weather conditions. I don't know where you are located but it sure looks like sunny CA or AZ or something like that. Being in Santa Barbara just a couple of weeks ago for a short vacation I must admit that I adore the CA guys (not the traffic alike though). I am looking forward in seeing your Mondial T and chat about the cars. Christian |

Christian, I look forward to seeing your Mondial 3.2 in August. It will be a great show with all the Pininfarina designs. By the way, I like that photo of your TR in the snow. That looks like a great time!! |

Good to see that you are driving your car quite a bit. The Mondial is a superb handling car. The 348 engine is sweet! Black/tan looks great. See you in August. I will come down from BC with my Mondial 3.2, 350 HP. Probably need a paint job after that, but who cares. They love to be driven, our babies! |

I bought my Mondial t in November 1999. It had 6K miles on it and now has 19K miles. I love taking it on multiday trips. The back seats fold down and the luggage is firmly in place by the luggage straps. The Michelin Pilot Sport tires give it a responsive smooth ride and the PIAA Platinum Series bulbs have improved the night vision. It has 3 suspension settings (soft, medium, hard) that can be selected from the cockpit. The 348 engine is a reliable power plant with good horse power. The car will be judged at the Concorso Italiano in August. |
