I am switching from Porsche to Ferrari. I like Porsche as an everyday car, low mpg, short, less noticable and less flashy!! I have owned 6 Porsches so far and it is a hard decision to sell my 996 cab to trade it in with a 550 Maranello. I did test drive the maranello and loved it. I think I can drive 550 as an everyday driving?? Comment anyone who did the same scenario??

Dustin,

Excellent looking car! Is it a 911S with the 195 Bhp engine or is it an E or T model?

I just read an excellent comparison article in Classic & Sports Car between the 911 E and Dino 246 GT. It was the February issue if you are interested. It was pretty even until they considered the prices.

For the amount you need to spend on a nice Dino you might as well get the ultimate Porsche - 73' 911 Carrera 2.7RS. Ah choices, choices...

Here is a picture of my Porsche I would like to add. Quite a bit older but a classic IMHO :-)

My 1969 Porsche.

Nice to hear from you! In a weeks time I am leaving for Perugia in Umbria to study Italian for 3 months. I'm giving serious consideration to finding a small town through which the Mille Miglia will be passing through. If you are going to Italy send me an e-mail!

Thats really nice Carl, really nice. I guess the picture is taken from your home in Norra ngby. I also like the driveway, wide and a lot of space. This was a big problem for us when we lived in Norra ngby. Almost every house in our region had K marked stonewalls surrounding the driveway so parking the car was a hell.

I gather that several members here owns Porsches so, being a Porsche enthusiast as well as a Tifosi, I was hoping that we could share some pics of them. Here the one I get to drive eventhough it is my fathers.

This bumper has been changed since this pic was taken. The 993 Carrera 4S shares its body with the turbo(minus the large fixed wing). This bumper is a standard C2/C4 bumper but has now been replaced by the real thing. (There is another pic in my profile if anyone is interested.) Upload
