Dave: The reason I purchased this car was that it was a special collectors edition. "Collectors edition" is on the trunk mat, head rests, floor mats and center wheel hubs, also the collectors emblem on the side of the door.
I couldn't walk away from it. The yellow was only used for the 2000 cars made as a collectors edition for 2002.
Mine is a t-top, six speed of which 750 where made for this last year of production.
This one was car#954

Ducati, that's a great time - either it's an automatic, or your son's an amazing driver!

Tim, my Camaro's got a Lingenfelter 383 LT1 engine in it. I track it on courses in N. California now. I used to drag race it, and with nitrous the best was [email protected]. All the skinny is at http://www.go-fast.org/z28

John - beautiful car, and it's nice to see the pair. I didn't realize yellow was an option, is that just for the last year, or have they made them in yellow before?

My good friend has a 99 Z28 thats an SS clone(waste of $ for the hood), it runs 12.8's with mild work. Has 1LE suspension so its glued to the road. Its too heavy to be nimble though but every time he lets me drive it and i floor it and the open exhaust screams it makes me smile.

Well, if you think Ferraris are expensive.
With 300 miles on the yellow bird the manual six speed got stuck in fourth. Warrantee replaced the whole transmission this week, but my buddy at Kemper showed me the bill for the trans.

$5000 yikes

Morning Racer: My plan is to not touch the car and store it. For me that's torture, there are a great many goodies out there that would pump it to wild.
I'm trying not to drive it more then 500 miles a year (good luck). I also left the stickers on the radio, window etc.
Thanks for asking, John

On this collector addition, they put the screaming chicken on again.

The 328 GTS handles better on a twisting road, I've tried that out. This monster, however, man when I punched it really moved. Zero to 60 in 5.2 seconds, probably better if I knew how to shift the right way. Can't complain about that.

Besides our 328 GTS, I had a 1978 Trans Am. It was a WS6/W72 the first year for WS6. A friend of mine owns Kemper Pontiac and I happened to talk to him at the same time the 35th Anniversary collector addition T/A arrived.
I'll struggle paying for it, but now I have the first and the last.
