Thanks Robert ! This is particularly personal to me because I designed it and built 75% of it by hand. I sub-contracted the slate and some of the roof framing. It took me 1-year to build (nights and weekends). I will continue this discussion by way of e-mail. Thanks |

Paul-I love your garage. I have downloaded a copy of it and have given it to my builder to do one for me except with two double doors. What information can you give me on it ? You can email me on [email protected] if you prefer. I would like to hear from you on this. Thanks |

Thanks Bret. Yes it is at Classic Coach. Jim and Scott are good guys there. They have the best reputation for Challenge car repair and they do quite a few each year, especially during the racing season. I wanted to get mine in there before the season got started and the cars started rolling in with crunched quarters. You are right that the VINs of challenge cars DO NOT allow street use EVER. They don't have air bags or many other US safety equipment. Ironically, I would rather be in a challenge car during a crash than in a Honda Accord. With the roll cage and the Halon system, it is almost impossible to get really hurt (assuming helmet and Nomex). |

That'll be sweet when it's done. You're a lucky guy. The only certified Ferrari body shop is Classic Coach, yeah it's right near me, maybe like 20-30 minutes away. Can you take Challenge cars on the street at all or are they totally off limits for road use? I don't think you can, but it would be sweet if you could. You'll have a devastating track car though and a really nice piece of art to look at. |

Yes Bret. You will probably remember seeing this photo below from other postings of mine. I am repairing a 355 Challenge car that has some damage to the front left. Very repairable and in fact, just two days ago I took it to the only (or one of the only) certified Ferrari body/frame shop in the country (very close to you I believe). I think you know the shop I am talking about. I will be picking it up in about a month. I'll be so excited to get it back ! Thanks for asking.

Really nice setup. When I move soon I already set my dad straight with my two requirements which he agreed with 1)big heated garage like yours (to keep my little one so comfortable) and 2)satellite tv (so I can watch F1). It's was your first Ferrari, does this mean you have others? |

I love the classy, old-building garage. Very European. Appropriate of course! |

I have been meaning to do this for over 6-months. Here is a picture of my 1984 308QV Euro with 40k miles. This was my first Ferrari and I am still blown away by its looks every day I see it. Also below is a picture of my garage (heated).
