Great looking car!!!

What kind of tires are you using? Have you modified the brakes? According to the rest of the mods you'll probably have like 8-piston AP Racing/Brembo calipers...

Jim,
If I took My old 16" wheel and tire and stood them side by side with the new 18" wheel and 35 series tire they are just about equal in height. The speedometer remains unaffected.

The tires would have to be lower profile to make them fit in the wheel well with 18" rims. I can't remember for sure, but I did the calculations like a month ago and with 18s you'd be running like 40 series in front and 35 or 40s in back. Something around there. If you weren't going to lower the car like Paul, you could go with a slightly larger profile to help fill the wheel well a bit, as Ferraris tend to have a rather large gap between the top of the tire and the edge of the wheel well. But of course you'd have to be within reason as the edge of a wheel well would chew up a tire real quick if it was hitting.

Looks great.
How far off will the speedometer readings be? Or have you done a modification to account for the larger wheels?

Good job Paul,
I think I will try and one up you though...
Maybe I will try to adapt a 360 to a set of 308 wheels. :-)

By the way, you got a great deal on the gear set.
I looked at a 6 speed racing gearbox conversion that fit into the standard 308 gearbox, along with a quick change Dif/trans case for my 308 a couple years ago, and thought the dude was insane.
He wanted more than the cost of a 308 in great shape for the setup.
I could have just bought a second 308 as a spare...

I know the guy who makes the straight cut gears if anyone needs his info. He will make more kits if you are interested. Once installed gear final drive gear changes can be done very quickly. He will also include a new transfer case too.

John,

Nick did not do the Mods but he gives me supreme guidence with everything I do, I have bought several items from him and he will be doing the head work soon.
Without Nick I don't know if I would ever attempted this let alone finished it.

Kelly,
Live on west coast of FL (sarasota).

Bret,
I think around 340 at flywheel, only a dyno will know.

Peter,
I actually found it on E-bay about a year and a half ago, about 10 to 15 years ago (I believe) 6 sets were built for a group of 308 race cars and this was the spare (never used). The stock transfer case cover is about 1.5" deep this case is about 5.5" deep with roller bearings on both sides of all 3 gears, each gear is a double gear. I paid $2500, my guess is would normaly sell for $6000 since the build work is 1st class.

Paul did you by any chance have your car modified at Nick's Forza Ferrari cause he has your exact car shown on his website http://www.nicksforzaferrari.com/forzaferrariwebsite1007.htm with pretty much all the mods you are talking about having done on your car.....just curious if this is the same car? I am looking to get my heads done out there this Fall sometime and wanted to know what the place is like and all.
later,
John

Where on earth did you manage to get such a gearcase Paul? Or did you just modify the existing bellhousing?

Either way, very trick...

I love it. My list is growing for future mods as we speak. WWoC has been keeping an eye out for 360s for mine, when I'm done with all the engine stuff though I might have to just bite the bullet and get new ones. How much HP do you think you'll be pushing when all done?

Very sweet car Paul how in the hell did you get the 360 wheels to fit in the 308s wheel wells? I though they would be way to big from all the 308s that I have seen!! Kick ass car man!

After 2 years and allot of sweat I have completed the transformation. Wheels adaption was a custom one off job so I have no blueprints.Upload
