Frank,

All aluminum trims in the 360 are solid cast pieces. Even the flip-open panel for a couple of switches in the center console is solid aluminum. There are no thin, glued on sheets of aluminum in the car.

Frank,
The "aluminum" trim on my 360 is perfect after 2 yrs and 8k miles.
Next wk am having the a.c.schnitzer "alum" trim done on my E46 M3 ( foot rest, drilled pedals, dash and arm rests, shifter, hand brake and center console).

How are the aluminum look consoles and trim holding up in the 360s ? I know on the BMW M5s they start peeling after a few thousand miles .

Michael -

When I asked about this (when I took these pics some time ago), I was told by the dealer that it was being delivered to it's owner at EXACTLY STICKER PRICE, as he had been on the list, and this was to be his car. Dealers are NOT allowed to sell the car over MSRP to the person who has ordered the car already (first owner).

This is a beautiful car! Do you know how much the owner payed above sticker price? I would like to get my hands on one of these sometime soon...I see private owners selling these in the DuPont registry for significantly more, esp the Spyder.

well, you have saved for posterity that the shields were an official option on the 360. Were they stick-on or recessed enamel like on the F40?

Yes, great pics. Even better that you took the window stickers as well. Hmmm.... After all of these years, a Ferrari still gets 10mpg. Oh well, so much for progress!

The finish on that car is amazing. On the one picture of the back of the car the reflection of
you taking the picture is cool.

Just thought I'd put up some pics of a new 360S-F1. I caught it as it was being delivered. It is NOT MINE. Beware the pics will take some time to download. I have seen some in red and few in various silver-ish, I just thought the black was stunning, altho the red with the challenge grill was nice too. Heck they are all beautiful. Enjoy.
