Noel, nice 360. Do you live downtown? I've seen one like yours on a couple occasions.

Thanks Don. Your ride's pretty nice too. Is that a 308 GTS? I don't know where you're from, but if you're from the Chicago area I would like to intrest you in our trip to Meadowdale next month. It should be a blast! Well, think about it and let us know, the more the merrier.

I hate to be so capricious, but the weather was really playing me yesterday: Just as I shut down my PC and looked out the window it all cleared up. So I ran to the garage and raced to the Bahai. Luckily Jay hadn't run out of patience yet and so we ended up with a nice chat, some pictures and swapped rides. Thanks Jay for my first Mondial ride!

Sorry Chris, didn't mean to cut you out (quite the contrary). But we can always do this one again, Bahai looks even more beautiful in spring time with all the flowers blooming.

PS: What about that Tyson fight? Wasn't that a fix or what!

I should have known better, Chicago does have four seasons in one day:

Blue sky turns grey and sun to snow.

Sorry, but we'll have to do this some other day. Hope you guys get this message in time.

Bahai is in Wilmette, just north of Evanston. It is on Sheridian Rd. and Linden, (North of Evanston's Central street and south of Wilmette's Lake street), across the street from the harbor, Coast Guard base, and Gilson Park/Beach. You can't miss it. It's the big white building that is dome shaped, kinda' like the Captial Building. Hope to see you there, everyone that can make it. The weather channel website is saying it will be partly cloudy tomorrow so we atleast have a chance. Lets pray it warms up, no more salt is dropped, our snow passes or doesn't stick, and tomorrow is sunny. Kind of a tall order for mid February in Chicago, but the again I didn't even need a jacket during the day on friday. Lycka till oss!

The Bahai temple. Don't know the street address, it is a little bit north of Evanston, right on the lake. The scenic route drives right by it. Absolutely gorgeous 'building', well temple. It is even mentioned on my Chicagoland map. Would be ultra if you could make it as well, otherwise I'll get to meet the porn star at Meadowdale.

1pm at the Bahai

*IF* the sun is out. Not that the wheel would fall off without the sun, but it would be a great photo op.

Would that work for you? Anybody else?

As I said, this is the year of our own Chicagoland calendar...

Andreas, Bahai would be good. Any specific time you available? Lets keep our fingers crossed for sunlight. Anymore takers?

BTW, the central region is up and Continential is on there. I can't wait, first event.

Jay, any interest to meet up tomorrow (Sunday) at the Bahai temple in Evanston *IF* the sun comes out?

Today's nasty, but it might get better for Sunday. Chicago, the city with four seasons...in one day.

Chris, don't mention the Tyson result here pls. I'm taping it tonight, won't be able to see it till Monday. BTW: A friend of mine is doing all the fights for Showtime. I bet he'll be there for this one too.

Yeah, the weather wasn't what I was hoping for. I am doing a couple of things also, but as usual it's all FUBAR.

I need to take my grill off and have it bent back in to form, plus maybe a couple of spot wields. Sounds easy until you have rusty bolts and no rust away stuff.

My console warning light for the lighting system is on but all of the lights are operating as they should. I have a broken lens but I don't think it's that. I want to do something Ferrari today, but I am to lazy to get to these repairs. It's a little too cold for me. Well, that's enough crying, there will be other days. Have fun today guys.

BTW: Posted some pics from the auto show in the general section. Crowds were acceptable during the week.

Oh, I see. Yeah, nice day for a drive. I'm booked at work and later on it's off to the auto show (gotta see that Enzo).

If the forecast for the weekend would be more stable I'd be happy to make plans, but it looks a bit shaky at the moment.

Lets keep an eye on the weather in the weeks to come. I'm always happy to bring the car to work and do an early getaway. Got a digital camera too as well as an analog SLR Nikon. Also got some DV movie equipment, so we could do a car 'chase' on LSD. Hey, there's a thought for an even bigger get together! Like the Paris Peripherique video with the F50, TR, 328 and 355.

OOOOUUTTTCHH!!!!!!
Noel, don't pour salt in my wounds. Parking space is a big problem obviously and if you look at my pic in the profile you see why. About one inch on either side of the poor car. But at least I have a parking spot...

Haven't had a chance to track the car yet, but plan on taking it to Gingerman with FCA and maybe to Road America with the Alfa guys. Nothing serious, just to take it once above 65 MPH...

Gorgeous spider you got there, could almost be my 'garage'. If you ever want to get together, I'm all for it. I want to take a picture of my car in front of the planetarium with the city as the backdrop, I bet that's gonna look awesome.
