Karen like the De Lorean also a lot (better than the Calif). Funny enough there was also a De Lorean at the drive on Sunday: As soon as the guy entered the parking lot, up went the driver side door while he was looking for a spot. Once parked, both doors went up...

but they are pretty, I agree...but no Flux wandler ignition
:-)

What? No closeups of the DeLorean!? That California is gorgeous. Welcome back--while you were there, I was freezing my 'nads off at Wrigley.

A 348 Challenge that took part in the Sunday Calif drive.

The infamous Drago at Heritage, luckily only one built.

Jack, no it is brandnew. Looks like the real deal, but is from 'today'.

To resume my 'report': Met with a bunch of nice F chatters from around here before they took off for their Sunday drive. The Don, Jean-Louis and Ron plus a bunch of guys I didn't remember the names (sorry). They had a nice turnout for their event, 308/GT4, 308, 328, 348, 355, 360, Mondial, TR and F40. Aside from a bunch of P cars and a Lambo Diablo and a Viper. Pretty impressive stuff and I was happy to be instantly welcome. Nice guys!

Once I'm back, I'll post some pictures.

Andreas, was it from the era, or is it a new, painted helmet? The '79 and '82 repros I've seen are priced around $2K!!

Oh, one more thing about Exoticar, just for Jack:

They have a Gilles Villeneuve replica helmet for $ 575. It is of course a real race helmet, that meets all requirements.

Things like that aren't in their catalogue and the reason I like to visit their few shops in person (luckily the one in NY is just across the street from our office).

BTW: They also had some other replica helmets like Fisichella and Alesi. Another off thing were the oversized Ferrari perfum bottles, but at 500 a piece I had to withdraw.

Wanted to give you guys a quick update on my trip. The cool thing about LA is, that you see as many F cars in a day as in an entire month in the Midwest or more:

Went to the Nethercutt Museum to 'visit' a California Spider of which only 14 were built, pretty cool stuff. Then I went to the LA Gallery, a huge P, F and Audi dealer. Unfortunately they had most of their F cars at an auction in Las Vegas, but still some left in the lot. Just sold another Enzo to a customer in the area (I got his name, but won't post it here).

Finally I went to Beverly Hills, where just on the street I met a 360 and a 550. At our hotel a Mondial parks...Went to Exoticar, but they didn't have the newest F cars yet, so I'll return empty handed in regards to the new 1/18 308 or 550GT. Oh well. Tomorrow I'm gonna meet the local F chat crowd.

Stay tuned.
